I also have had this fear, so I relate. If it's really bad, I advise facing it gradually. Also, you may find that it's not as severe if you're sitting down (this was true in my experience.) So start by going up in elevators with a friend with you--go to a window on the 2nd floor and then the 3rd, and so on. Then move to outdoor heights like hiking up a hill (start with a place that has wide paths.) Then you can work on a place with a fire escape. If you start to freak out, try sitting down and breathing slowly through your nose.

Reward yourself a little for each attempt, and a little more for each success. Good luck!

Don't do too much too quick!
Try standing on a bridge and look over the side work your way up to bigger bridges!
Visit the Blackpool tower and climb that its a wonderful view and you will appreciate it!
people may tell you to jump in at the deep end but sometimes that just throws you off track!
Relax take deep breaths and forget your even at a height! Enjoy Wat you see and all will be well!
