No it isn't weird .. It is your way of remembering.. I do this with my dads birthday too..
They are your memories and you can celebrate his life in anyway that you want to..
He is always with you and he knows also what you are doing and is probably up there smiling away with your efforts for him.. so just enjoy his day the way you want to..
good luck.

no it is not weird at all your brother's sprit lives on forever and can be or should be shared with others for the rest of your life. It shows long lasting love and courage to remember and cherish his life for what it was and not forgeting who or what he did in this lifetime. Every human being is special in there own way and you are too and keeping that feeling for him as if he never left is beautiful

It may be a little overboard if you make a cake and buy balloons and sing happy birthday. But if you make a small, special dinner for those who were close to him, and remember all the good things about him on his birthday, it's perfectly normal. I did a little something on my mother's birthday.

No. Every year we have a bit of a moment of silence or talk about what a great guy my husbands father was on his birthday. It helps him deal with the fact that he's gone and also allows our daughter (who I was 4 months pregnant with when he died) know about him in a way.

I don't think its weird. You are doing nothing wrong by celebrating the life of your brother and if that is how you choose to remember him then that is your choice. It keeps him close to you and ensures that his spirit will always be apart of who you are.

What you call weird is just another level of needs or understanding.Live and let live.If you can't stand the situation find a good reason not to be present.Be flexible and don't fight.Good luck
