It's normally not bad, but here's what you have to think of. During pregnancy you stop losing a good amount of the daily hair loss that most of us have (think losing 50 hairs instead of 100) so when we give birth ALL of the built up hair will come out. And depending on how strong your hormone change is determines how quickly and dramatically you lose it. Expect clogged drains and full brushes is all I can tell you!

My hair came out in hand fulls after my daughter's birth. It was insanely scary. I'm lucky my hair is so thick or I really think I would have been bald in a week. I'm not sure what the normal is though or anything but that was my experience with it.

huge chunks of hair fall out!!!! No, but I lost some hair, but not a lot. My hair is thick, and it kind of turned fine at the ends, but you'll recover
