Always, always, always. I have been with my partner for nine years at the end of this month and I asked him out first.
He was glad that I did because he was too scared to.
Everyone is scared of being rejected, but if you can get past that well you never know. Ask him out to something casual. What's the worst thing that can happen. He can say no. You will not die, you will get over it. What's the best thing that can come out of it. He can say yes and like me nine years on you can still be together.

Ask him in a way that makes it seem like it was his idea. If there is an event coming up or if you're just trying to make plans for the weekend, hint to him that these are things you are interested in and that will give him the window to ask you out. You will be traditional and non-traditional all at the same time.

Go for it.. A good trick or enablar is. ( extra tickets 4 baseball games.. Appear like your unintenialy invitin him to a (rare opp_) create the setting and your good to go. Invite in 4 dessert that u made from scratch.. Make him dinner at your place "

cautiously interested? hehe.. what makes you say that? but yeah sure go ahead and ask him out. i do it all the time. if yr confident enough, I dont see the harm in it.

No. But of course there's always an exception to this rule. If you decide to do so by invoking the exception rule, think first what happens to your self-esteem afterwards. Can you take the loss of your self-esteem even if only temporarily?
