I love French and after taking it for 14 years cant remember much, but with over a billion Chinese people just in China alone, I would choose Mandarin Chinese.

i do no longer see your examples as any actual evidence that your reasoning to "abolish" a spoken language is valid and proper. human beings could communicate in any language of their picking, yet additionally communicate the nationwide language of the rustic (which to that end is Hindi). interior the case with India, if the English language became for some reason abolished, a lot of human beings in India could be devoid of jobs (as many are representatives for US companies besides as professionals for US technologies) and devoid of the gross sales that India gets from English-conversing international locations, rather the U. S., that would rather down-turn India as a rustic. this might, as a available edge-consequence, cripple the financial device and might desire to finally finally end up like the place Greece was once (and might even nonetheless be there at present). With admire to the nationwide background of India, it rather is amazingly in touch in worldwide Affairs with English-conversing international locations, so abolishing the English language from India does no longer be a sturdy theory.

I'd speak Dutch, which I do anyway as it's my native language ;-)
If my own native language would be abolished I'd switch to English (because I already speak it), if that weren't an option to Finnish (as I only speak it a bit and it would be nice to improve on it).
