In normal nutrition, we require sugars, these are the carbohydrates and the simple carbohydrates are compounds such as glucose, saccrose, levulose, maltose, dextrose etc., however as with Vitamin A or Vietamin D, too much is not good for us. We need the more complex forms of carbohydrates as in the starches both as our main source of food energy (potatoes, grain, breads, etc.) but also to supply components to synthesize amino acids. Without sugars, you would have no energy.

As a food scientist who spent over 30 years researching foods, you wouldn't like to know what I think of anyone who would pose such a question. I will give you only one example of sugar that is added to food for a PURPOSE. The fermentation of bread requires sugar to control the rate and thus the whole process.

dude, get real... that is like suing McDonalds because your kid got fat. when you were the one who bought it everyday.

tooth decay can be reduced or eliminated by brushing and flossing daily. But there is no way to clean your lungs from tabacco damage. Although I dont feel the Tabacco industry should be sued.
Especially no new suits, I mean come on if you still smoke you are just an idiot.

NO! you shouldnt be able to sue companies because of what you buy and put into your own body.

No!
Think about it...it would be impossible to enforce. And you of course always have the option to say no.....
There are many more damaging things to our health than sugar. Fat in the diet is a killer, do you think we should legislate against that too?
Common sense and moderation needs to prevail.
