I find it very hard to understand the 7th Century Language of the Koran. So I have made an attempt to translate it into English that I can comprehend. I hope you don't mind. Have I made the translation into English in the spirit of the original?

There are a number of translations of the quran. The most recognized is Yusuf Ali. He spent many years supervised by muslim scholars translating into Engish.

The Quran was revealed in Arabic. The Arabic has been preserved in its original form with no additions and modifications. It is very hard to translate to any language since one Arabic word can have many meanings.

The way to understand the Quran is to get a good reference not on just the translation but we all have to understand the circumstances in which the verses were revealed. This will give you a very good understanding of the Quran.

Maududi's translation and commentary on the Qur'an, "The Meaning of the Qur'an", ranks as one of the best such works in existence today. Unlike many early translators, Maududi uses the standard technique of providing an explanation of the Qur'anic verses from the Sunnah of the Prophet (sas), including the historical reasons behind the verses. Below is a list of Maududi's introductions to each chapter in the Qur'an. Unfortunately, this represents a very small portion of the six volumes which comprise the complete commentary.

I knew something was fishy. Wow what a liar you are, but Allah will protect the Quran from people trying to change it like you!

Seems like you have exposed your ignorance.

Unity of All Submitters

[2:62] Surely, those who believe, those who are Jewish, the Christians, and the converts;* anyone who *(1) believes in GOD, and (2) believes in the Last Day, and (3) leads a righteous life, will receive their recompense from their Lord. They have nothing to fear, nor will they grieve.

About over 10 years ago there was a horrible genocide being committed towards Bosnian muslims by the christians simply because they were muslim. The men and boys were taken in buses shipped a place were they were lined up and executed. The females were taken to sex camps so that if a Christian Serbian soilder felt like raping a youge girl, child,or old women all he has to do is go in and make his choice. Not to mention the KKK and Hitler which were all christians and did all their crimes supposibly in the name of christianity. The muslims never once blamed Christianity although if you pick up a history book Chritians passed crimes surpass any crimes commited by muslims.Christianity did not commit those crimes humans did and that goes for muslims also.Jesus(pbuh)never condoned killing, rape and child molestation and Muhammed(pbuh) never did either so do not take the word of God and misquote it like you know what you are talking about.

there are many good translations available with simple English. Try Mir Aneesuddin's translation for the most simple.

if you are a non-Muslim, your translation would not be accepted by many Muslims because of the history of intentional mis-translations by the Orientalists.

u are absolutely wayyyyyyyyyy out, nobody can really translate The Quran, only transliterate it.

God has spoken of this:

He it is Who has revealed the Book to you; some of its verses are decisive, they are the basis of the Book, and others are allegorical; then as for those in whose hearts there is perversity they follow the part of it which is allegorical, seeking to mislead and seeking to give it (their own) interpretation. but none knows its interpretation except Allah, and those who are firmly rooted in knowledge say: We believe in it, it is all from our Lord; and none do mind except those having understanding.Al-Quran003.007

There are amny good translations already. Please read them. In any case Arabic is not very easy to translate in non semitic langauges.
