Bit of a Curate's egg. They have some good exhibits, and some interactive stuff, but all rather dumbed down, and I didn't think it was worth the entry fee. Mind you, there was a really good museum of sewerage next door, and that was free to get in. (I'm not kidding, it really was quite interesting)

I took my boys (7 and 4) and they thought if was exciting - thought the younger one was a bit scared of heights! Would endorse the comments re the museum next door though - and its free - think I remember a hugh steam engine next door too.(The Abbey Pumping Station) You will have to check the timings to see if it is in steam. Have a look at this website - http://www.24hourmuseum.org.uk/trlout_gfx_en/EMMS.html

Enjoy

I took my son a little while ago - and we both loved it. It's not exactly NASA, of course, but worth a trip.
