The real problem is that if you have intolerance is actually removing the MSG from your diet. Its in a very large number of products as a flavour enhancer.
On the lighter side, it could just be that the Chinese food you ate wasn't as well cooked as it should have been! ;) lol

Is it only Chinese food that gives you this reaction, because MSG is found in a great deal of things?
I have a friend who suffers from a variety of food allergies and has learnt to avoid the foods that upset her. We were sitting down one evening discussing this as she was sure there was something else she was missing in her known allergies. She described her symptoms, which included heart palpitations. On a whim I typed her symptoms into google and it took us straight to a site on MSG intolerance.
What this is leading up to is - this site had a list of the different names that MSG is listed under in food ingredients.
If you only react to Chinese food, I would start looking for another allergen than MSG as you would probably be shocked to find out how much MSG we unknowingly consume.
The link below is a google link for MSG intolerance, if you browse through the sites I am sure you will find one of the lists of MSG's alias's.

Heaven purely is conscious which foyer revealed the record the abusive person you examine with on your further info became mouthing off approximately. rather, given his wide-unfold approach, he in all probability made it up himself. besides. i'm no longer all that accustomed to msg intolerance as a special concern. As you're saying, maximum everybody is illiberal of msg because of the fact it rather is frequently sourced from gluten, and subsequently is composed of a few gluten (it is so sticky, pass-an infection can take place in undemanding terms by ability of a gluten-containing product brushing up against a gluten-unfastened merchandise). No, thinking approximately it, I truthfully have heard that monosodium glutamate is frequently a concern for those that be stricken by migraines. back, this could be masked gluten intolerance, as gluten is frequently an unrealized rationalization for migraines. i do no longer understand in case you recognize it, yet gluten is addictive in people who won't be able to digest it appropriate. the rationalization for that's that gluten is digested in 2 stages. the 1st degree produces an opioid peptide. In some human beings, the 2d degree does no longer take place, and this opioid peptide can leak into the bloodstream. think of a persevering with drip of an opium-like substance into the bloodstream and you will comprehend that if that's unexpectedly halted, withdrawal indicators can truthfully take place, alongside with cravings and all of the common results of narcotics withdrawal. Your tale of "finding out ... by ability of frequently taking quantities of gluten" struck me forcibly as an subconscious justification for giving in to cravings like this, yet of direction, i'm no longer accusing you of being an addict or something like that! All i can recommend is which you pass one hundred% gluten unfastened (and msg-unfastened) for a era of three weeks. Then on the tip of that era, whilst your device could be sparkling (gluten hangs around), do a undertaking attempt by ability of ingesting gluten at each and every meal for an afternoon. do no longer consume msg on that day. you will quickly artwork out if gluten is a concern for you. If there are no longer any indicators from the gluten, then do 2-3 days greater gluten unfastened (to easily be advantageous you're no longer getting a in the back of schedule reaction, which could make the effects of gluten look like the effects of msg), then do an identical undertaking by ability of ingesting purely msg, yet no gluten, at each and every meal for an afternoon, and notice what happens. desire this helps.

MSG is awful. Its a flavouring also used in crisps. Check with the restaurant if they use it, thats what I did and now only to go to one that is MSG free. Or make your own stuff.
