Yep.
On average, each US citizen has more than twice the energy consumption of a western European, according to statistics for 2003, and almost ten times that of a Chinese! American factories are some of the most polluting in the world also so no wonder the US does not want to sign up to Kyoto!
It is a bad position to take however. All the countries that signed up to Kyoto are building new technology into their manufacturing systems. With new technology comes greater efficiency and cost savings. Where will that leave the USin years to come? With inefficient, expensive factories and power plants that simply will not be able to compete with the rest of the world.

No, I'm ticked off by the global warming doomsday sayers like yourself. Only parts of the North polar ice cap are melting. Antarctica is not except on the Antarctic peninsula. Polar bears are only being affected in Canada. The sea level is rising at the rate of a few centimeters per century - hardly dramatic. Because i live in an advanced and enlightened society I trust the facts - not the speculative hysteria that people like you spew out constantly.

i felt it last summer in phoenix az.it was the toughest summer i have ever been in.
i think the polar bear will adapt allot better than we will.
lately i have been thinking more about what sheep we are. just today i was thinking that theres probably 3 million cars here in phoenix. everyone is paying... say 100 bucks a month . hmmm .
$ 300,000,000.oo a month.thats probably a low average.people drive like they are nuts. i can't see 300 million worth of destruction goin on. so WTF?
it's all relative but the bottom line is. those politicians arent representing anything that i think about. i dont wanna be a sheep either. everyone except you and i are happy sheep in the gruve.closed minded to actual thinkingabout the possibility of wrong being done.
i feel a little at ease about myself and the earth. i do allot of automotive emmissions work.i think that state standards make pollution worse. setting an auto up the way they like is dangerous on a carbureted car. it may pass the test but uses resources.which has to make pollution.
i'm 48 years old now; and i'm not stupid by no means. the way the world really is-versus the way its made to seem mostly by people that dont even realise that they are part of the prop,is sorta skawwy.i don't know why we are so slow responding to our problems.
we must be responsible and give up our money though huh? on time also. you ever hear of the new world order.?skawwy.yep.

To do something about it would be an admition of guilt and they aren’t about to admit there wrong.
Nothing is wrong until we realise the effects, to continue after you know the effects of global warming (to mention one) then it becomes in my humble opinion a crime against humanity and the planet and should be treated as such

i'm very,but very angry.
i'm thinking that we humans are basicly incapable of looking after this planet.
also......i'm asking myself..."till when....we will go on with this"
basicly all this makes me sick...to see that we just don't care,to see people just to busy to care...the fact is that we don't think about tomorrow.
so...do we have the right to continue living here, when all we do is destroying??
