I've been offered the flu jab at work and am in two minds whether to accept or not. What's in it exactly? How does it stop the flu? I'm only in my 20's so do I really need it?

Definitely NO

Do NOT get vaccinated.

A vaccinated person is MORE likely to get a disease than a non-vaccinated person. The whole theory of vaccination is flawed. It causes a weakening of the immune system thus making those who are innoculated more susceptible to disease.
There are so many awful side effects to vaccination that it should be considered extremely dangerous.
Just sit back and think for a while.
Is there any sense in injecting a disease directly into your body.
We have been subjected to an awful mind control program to enable the drug manufacturers to make a fortune.

If you go to the vaccination liberation web page, at

You will find all the forms necessary to provide exemption for your child.

Sorry but there's no way I can tell you what's in it.The flu strains vary so it's possible the vaccine varies from year to year to compensate. There seem to be some conflicting views on wether you need it at your age and by having it they view that you are using the supply that could go to a more " at risk " recipient. If you have been offered it...Go ahead and have it...Some people react slightly by having a sore upper arm for a short while..thats small price to pay to escape the sheer misery of a real bout of flu.Lots of people say they have flu when all they have is a "bad cold" .Believe me..if you get full blown flu...you'll never forget it" !! My view is that even if you are reasonably fit and in your twenties...at least if you have the jab..you will be better protected and less likely to spread the infection to someone who is vunerable ..Go on...do it

Flu jab for young people is usually just if you have diabetes, heart trouble, asthma etc I never heard of a healthy 20 year old being offered the flu jab.
So if you are healthy don't take but if you are not and have some other condition yes take it.

Hi Do you work in a nursing home or in a hospital if your answer is no then I take it your boss as decided to give people the the flu jab to prevent you taking time of work, if they take up his or her offer then they can't say they have the flu.

The answer to your Question of what is in the Jab. it comes from poultry and eggs. and you don;t need to get the flu jab unless you are Asthmatic or suffer from diabetes or you are prone to a low immune system.

Hope this Helps

i worked in a nursing home and was offered the jab. at the time i thought it would be an good idea as i would be working closely with people that would have flu but in the end it didn't prevent me from getting it and got the flu twice in the space of 6 weeks along with a chest infection. it has left me with a weakness in my chest. personally i would refuse it and just take plenty of vitamin C.

this is bugging me too! Last time I had the jab, I came down with some kind of cold/flu which, to cut a long story short, ended up being rushed to hospital with pericarditis....was it connected?? so I won't have the jab. This is just my personal experience, but it does work for others, no doubt

depends have you had flu before? its the worst thing eevr! if its free have it! rather get a cold that flu, apparently it give you flu like symptoms to build up antibodies to the flu thugh! good luck! you dont need it but might be a good idea, i had flu age 18 and was off work for 4 weeks, 2 weeks sick and then 2 weeks to get over it and lost at least a stone.
good luck!

few people I've known have acquired a flu after having the jab. might only be reaction from the vaccine.
i suggest you get the jab for future immunity. the injection can be a bit stingy though, but it's worth it.

I use to get them at work too and i was only in my 20's. It certainly didn't do me any harm and i didn't get the flu once during that time! unless you really enjoy the flu get it done, it doesn't cost you anything, and yeah i know its a way to make sure you dont' get sick and miss time at work by your company but still.

It's your decision, if you're healthy and exercise regularly you might not need it but if you're succeptible to colds, flu etc i'd take it.

You don't need it if you are healthy.
There is a shortage of the flu vaccine this year and people who are healthy should be considerate and not have it so people who are more in need can get the jab.
