It better to have loved and lost, than to have never loved at all?

Hmm I was thinking about asking this question myself earlier..that's weird.
But I think, yes. Even when relationships end badly (such as mine did), it can't erase the memories of the good times. For me, those memories will always be special, and cherished. Granted, I did not feel this way while my heart was still freshly broken. But once it mended again, it's easier to look back on the memories without it feeling like a dagger through the heart all over again. Sometimes I still feel sad that it's over (it's been 5 years since we broke up), but I wouldn't give my memories of the times we shared up for anything.

One hard fuking saying that requires lots of analysis. I'm going to agree with the saying. After all, the whole saying revolves around the word "love". If there's no love in this world, it would not be exist right now, humans would all vanish. Loved and lost... how funny it sounds, it happens daily. You see... it's like people know that love hurts but they keep on falling in love with eachother, and after that they lost eachother. It's probably go beyond the text explaination, you would have to experiment this yourself throughout your life. But to have never loved at all is.. not possible. Everyone loves something or someone at some point in their life, with or without realizing it.

Here's the real question:
Would you rather have the pain of trying and failing, or the pain of never even trying?
Having loved and lost can be a world of hurt. I would never have gotten involved with one ex if I had known what she'd do. But I didn't know, so I had to try. If you don't try, you are guaranteed not to succeed. Trying gives you the chance.
Your time on earth is running out. Take all the chances you can get.

Yes, I absolutely agree.
My love life has gone up and down a few times and I'm single right now. I think it would be a bit sad if I would never have had a boyfriend in my life. Now I'm not at all worried about being single for a while.

also... rotate your tires every 6,000 miles and change your oil at least by 4,000 miles.... yea... all good sayings...
but sometimes I forget to rotate my tires and they wear a bit more and my oil changes go to 5,000 miles but I still love my car even though I don't quite treat it right.. and love... love is grand but it also bites...
It's how you treat love that matters... if you feel regret for the love that you had... then it is regret that you feel, what about a past memory of a love and when you think about it you get that little smile in the corner of yourmouth... ahhh... a good love... I like too work on that kind of love... but sometimes I don't do so good, but I keep trying..

If you never loved at all then how can you then love someone and then lose them. No I do not agree with this old saying cause it involves empty words with never having love at all.

i really believe they meant to really be loved like a princess. the love of your life kind of thing. and yes it is better. but the abuse, and heartache,and not knowing the good kind of love is not better. Love lost is the worst heartache you will ever know.
