I think Jesus would leave you to your own devices, with that "Render unto Caesar what belongs to Caesar, and unto God what belongs to God."
More importantly, why are you talking about burning flags? You know, if you want to burn them badly enough, the VFW has a flag burning detail, where they properly dispose of worn and tattered, faded Old Glories. Why don't you contact them? They might use your help.

Ever notice how the Middle East protesters can never get them lit? I think there's a business in self-lighting American flags.
Seriously, though it's just a piece of cloth that used to symbolize something quite remarkable. Now it's no different really than any other flag that represents a regime that spies on its own people, denies civil rights and tortures "enemies of the state." Too bad, that.
Anyway, anyone who says the flag is "sacred" or is against "desecrating" it is NO Christian.

No..Jesus Christ is not an American. A flag is just a piece of cloth with different colors arranged in such a manner as to demonstate a group of humanites systems of beliefs.

I think Jesus would have a problem with the hate in your heart that would want to burn the flag.
Do you live in America? If you hate it, go somewhere else.
Besides, burning the flag only shows your hate filled heart, it won't take AMERICA away from those who love it....like me!

Who cares, its a flag. Merely a piece of cloth with a pretty pattern on it. A nation or a collection of people are not about a flag, but are about a collective belief they hold.

Yeah because you are being in opposition to the authoriative figures.
To idolize those things then thats a different situation like the children of Isreal making a golden Calf (a tool of idolatry which is unacceptable)
But God also called us to be submissive to the authorities and burning the flag would be a mark of rebellion towards the ordinance that God has established.

I am a southerner.I like to go out back every once in a while and burn an american flag,They did fly that yankee flag while they killed my people, burned our citys. if someone doesnt like it, I will shoot them if they try to stop me. This is a free country. I will burn a darn piece of cotton cloth if I wont to. try to stop me, FEDS> I dare you. come get me.I am sure you know where to find me. I have been saying all kinds of stuff about Y'all lately. well come on feds, you scared?,and what in the world is it any of Jesus s buisness? about a flag? he is in to spiritual things .not politics.
