What do you think of REM & U2. Both responsible, but have very different ideas.

I like both bands music and they at least try to have a social conscience.

Well, honestly Butters I dont like these bands. I m also not sure if I should trust Bono about his african aid activites.
Well If I must pick up, I go for U2 and their Joshua tree album.
My favorite songs by U2 (staring at the sun, with or without you etc, new years day)
REM - losing my religion, man on the moon etc..

dont know bout REM, but bono looks goofy as **** when he puts his face in the camera in music videos

I have Cd's from both.
I still haven't found what I'm looking for....and that's me in the corner trying to find my religion? (can't remember the lyrics...and I'm not getting out of my chair to look for the cd).

From a philanthropic/socially aware standpoint, they're both good bands.
From a musical standpoint - they BOTH blow.

they're ok. not that great with music but at least they give to charity.
