You did it to me so I'm going to do it to you......Can't we all just *sniff sniff* get along.

So these young american soldiers are pulled from their jobs as farmers and machinists and even doctors and lawyers and sent half way around the world. They don't even really know why they are there. Their government sent them there and told them, "shoot only by orders." So then one of their buddies gets killed in a demeaning manner, publicly and tortured first. Then another gets blown up by a coward hiding a bomb in the road. A female soldier is taken prisoner and raped and tortured before being killed...and so on and so on. This builds slowly and yet they are told "...shoot only by orders." Then one day the anger and frustration has built up so much that a small group of them snap...and you get rape and torture and murder and payback for every soldier whose life has been lost....exactly what all of their buddies got from the other side.

All because 2 Beauracracies could not get along and then drug their religion into the polotics.

You need to see both sides of the story my friend.

You're right. The real war is being fought out in the media of TV and Internet to capture 'hearts and minds'.

War/resistance has always been this way. History always told by the victors.

Question for you, now: what do you do when a 'legitimate army' fly planes into buildings killing thousands of innocent people? Sit on your hands and do nothing?

I may not be intelligent, but if this was to hapen to me and my country, I would be doing all I can to get them back, at any cost. Afterall, the foreigners have no rights to attack the innocents at first. Justice is always defined by those who have the power, while the weaker group is always to be blamed. I don't think that is correct.

There can be a fine line between terrorist and freedom fighter, but in cases like the world trade center, it's clear what side of the line it's on.

When it comes to the 'resistance' movement in Iraq, it's not so clear. However, in Iraq the answer to 'what else could you do..." is that you could use elections and other methods to oppose the foreigners (who supposedly would like to leave anyway!)

so as another person said, your view is overly simplistic and due to lack of time, I suppose my comments could do with more expansion too.

That's a leading question! Why don't you say what you mean?
Some bad things happen on all sides. To sit back and do nothing may be worse than anything you mentioned.

Was this a religious question? Here is my religious answer......God is in control! Not me, you or anyone else. He gives man his free will do make his own decisions, even if they are mistakes....but ultimately, God, who is JUST, will prevail.

No..I would be on my knees...praying for the Lord's Will to be done. For the strenght to endure the firey trials that HE has allowed to come into my life. That He would hold me steadfast on course, that He would be mightily glorified, because I allowed Him to use me as He willed. That He would shelter me in the shadow of His Wings, and carry me when I trip & fall...so that through my own selflessness & my dependance upon my belief that the Lord is in total control & He has not allowed anything, nor will allow anything to happen to me that He will not help me get through. My rewards, my home, my family are NOT those in the here & now, but they are in Heaven awaiting my arrrival. (Where NONE can take them from me!)

I would fight back like anyone else who feels their life is threatened. Naturally I would be very angry and would want revenge. Suffice to say, I'd be p***** off.
