i was told on a number of websites (wikihow, budget101 etc.) that putting toothpaste on my pimples and leaving it overnight gets rid of pimples...

i put it on one night, forgot the next then put it on the next 2 nights and the pimples shrunk then turned redish and now they are starting to peel and still slightly red. why is this happening? its extra whitening toothpaste which i put on for 2 or 3 nights and ordanary colgate for the others. why? wat do i do?

For me, spray deodorant works well, especially applying it before you go to sleep. Because think about it, pimple are mostly sweat and oil. The entire purpose of deodorant is to absorb sweat and oil. It does all of the hard work for you. :)

P.S.
I had a similar situation 3 nights ago. I tried this technique and the pimple was gone 2 days later. Good Luck!!!!!

ok, do not put anymore toothpaste on your pimples. toothpaste only acts as an irratant, destroying your skin cells, and it only makes matters worse. The only reason why the pimples dissappear is because it dries out the pimple, but it also eats away at cells, and causes peeling, and harsh irritations. not only does it cause those issues, but scarring may also occur. i have living proof of it. get an over the counter acne wash such as biore, or if you wanna go old school, Sea Breeze astringent also works wonderfully
good luck!

Hey dont worry that much...bcoz toothpaste dries out the pimple..so thats y ur skin is starting to peel...just like when u dont moisturize ur skin in winters, it starts to peel of a little.the same way...so the toothp[aste is drying out ur pimples..n hence helping in the healin process.

But if u feel that ur skin is turning reddish or anything or if there is itching..then stop the use of toothpaste as soon as possible.

Good luck!
