Go to any Lidl look at the Muscadet [ get the more expensive one] its great. The beers not great though, also check out chocolate, coffees, softener, red peppers, anchovies, olives in fact the same stuff you get here but a lot cheaper.
Get beer from supermarket.
I've always got a car load coming home.
Washing powder, loo rolls are smaller but cheaper.
Also look at promotions in Netto had some lovely red wines that would cost a fortune here.
If you see a Noz store take a look got some lovely rugs.
Take currency convert or you will be amazed at the price's we are charged here thanks to our not so wonderful taxes.

If you live in a wine region, wine can be a good buy.

In Languedoc, we can buy wine draft. You take your own plastic barrels which are filled from nozzles rather like at a petrol (gas) station. Expect to pay Euro 0.90 to 1.50 per litre.
Wines bought from supermarkets can be even cheaper.

When we were there, we could not buy goodies from stalls like one can in Italy, but there were great deals on bandanas, greeting cards, oak barrels of red wine, cheese, brandy, shoes, Fuji and Kodak film, cameras, cars, furniture and bread. Food is quite cheap except for red meat but it is scarce.
