Some dogs do and others just don't, you should never give your dogs grapes as apparently it can kill them, dogs don't eat citrus fruit as their body makes its own vitamin C, a lot of dogs do like apples, my dog loves the odd strawberry, its the only fruit she will eat, but she does like vegetables too, she will sit and eat a whole carrot, I swear she thinks she's bugs bunny, our vet has no problem with us letting our dog have veg and bits of fruit too.

Yes some do, I have three Chihuahua's...Lucy eats everything just about peaches, pears, pineapple, bananas, dried apricots, berries of all types and lots of veggies she goes nuts for brussel sprouts. Riki our only male is not so hot for fruits or veggies loves potato chips though. And Ethal it depends sometimes she will eat something she normally wouldn't touch just because Lucy is eating it...she does not like sweet potato's but loves french fries...Guess it all depends on the dogs tastes.

Think it depends on the dog really. I used to have a dog who would chew about anything, and was very partial to fruit cake, dried fruits, and fresh apples (probably cause it was an edible ball lol). However, the fruit didn't always agree with him and OMG the smell was terrible!

Dogs can eat fruit, and some like it, but you should always be careful how much esoteric foods you give your pets. Believe it or not, the very animals who love to eat out of garbage cans & drink toilet water can have very sensitive digestive systems. They should not have more than a few bites of foods not regularly part of their diet And it is always wise to check with your vet about any unusual foods your animal wants to try. After all, who would have believed that anything as good as chocolate could be poisonous to our best friends?

Not all but one of mine does. He won't eat an orange but, most other fruits if I am eating it he will too. They are good for them in moderation. Just never give a dog onions, according the vet I worked for they are poisonous. There is a list of items a dog should never have...just check on google for it.

I have been fairly close with over 20 dogs. Two out of the three we have right now love some kinds of fruit. They like berries, bananas and grapes, but not citrus. They like V-8, green beans and zucchini.

I grew up in Connecticut and I remember dogs eating raspberries from the canes and jumping for the wild grapes that grew all over. It seems to me that small fruits are a normal part of a canid diet.

Our pyranees doesn't like fruit or vegetables. I have known 3 siberian huskies which only ate meat or fish.

My daughter has to watch her dog because he pigs out for several weeks when the apricots ripen at her house. It makes him fat, not sick.

Yes! Believe it or not dogs do eat fruit. dogs can eat fruit. If you want to feed it to them overripe fruit is the best. ... One thing you don't want to do is let them eat the seeds of apples hope this helps :) x

It depends on the dog. My first dog would eat almost anything, but our current dog is picky. She will eat dog food, but she truly loves raw veg! especially brocolli and carrot! She's an odd sort really. Fruit is not unusual. She loves banana too.

She likes luke warm tea and second hand chewing gum off of the street. (we try to stop her, but as soon as we're not looking...)

Strange dog...

We've got 2 Northern Inuits and one is a fussy eater (female) whilst the male is a total greedy guts, he likes picking apple cores out of the waste bin and blackberries from the hedge, he'll eat cauliflower and potatoes, heck he even ate a whole bag of bbq charcoal! I think that in the wild they would eat anything that they came across.
