They are providing nearly 150,000 troops to prop up DEMOCRACY in Iraq ( Not forgetting the aussies and the once imperial japs ). Obviously the Iraqis don't care much about democracy , else why should these generous nations sacrifice 1000s of their soldiers and their resources just to get their soldiers shot at? I think Saddam was doing a much better job before. If the Occuppiers cant do their job competently why dont they just quit??
( Or are the japs plan to go about their imperial adventure with americans this time around?? )

Is this Democracy??

The war in Iraq was never for "democracy". More Iraqis are dying everyday now than before the war. There's hardly a day passing by when averaging 60-70 iraqis are killed, this was not normal before the war. It's practically a genocide

Where are the weapons of Mass destruction?
Why isn't there a developing Iraqi govt when Saddam isn't in power anymore ?
Why won't the american army leave Iraq?
What about Abuguraib and Guantanamo Bay and the secret CIA prisons around Europe?People shipped and held for years with no charges.

There are ABSOLUTELY NO democracy or is it that democracy is a right for some and not for others? and this is just a fraction of violations in Iraq. The only pictures that some media are able to expose. The rest you'll have to know it from the REAL people involved in this war and not when you're seated on your laptops half-way across the world because this doesn't entitle you to judge matters correctly.

Don't just say that the Iraqis are killing eachother or it is a civil war that the occupation has nothing to do with. This isn't a brave justification.Soldiers are getting killed but why does only few care about civilians. The number of civilians killed without exaggeration would have formed an army.It isn't democracy to value the lives of some over the others especially soldiers over civilians.
I know there are many americans opposing this war and sending their children for oil,but alot others would just try to be in a state of denial over the truth and convince themselves that they're doing the iraqis and the world a favour.NO BODY has the right to judge who's morals is more superior or to be forcibly inforced on other nations.NO human has been granted this right.

The war was and is just for oil reserves and taking control over the area. However, western media and govt will only tell their people what they want them to hear, and if any body opposes the occupation in Iraq-they will directly be classified as terrorists.I'm not iraqi myself but lives of many around me have literally changed after the war- and definitely not to the better.

dont' forget that america is a capitalist....whatever face you may see of her, the bottomline will be a profit. it's all in the rules of a free economy -hunger for more...so when you say america or britain is doing the world a favour, ask how much return will they see afterward? perhaps more than tenfolds...democracy is much becoming a front in americas search for broader power than a political ideology to spread the idea of liberty and freedom.
ask how much oil reserves that iraq has in store? where are the weapons of mass destruction? albeit, iraq is now a free country because saddam is no longer there...but who replaced saddam? is there any development? thousands of american soldiers' lives lost among the others, billions of dollars spent on war and reconstruction, endless bombings, many americans are demoralised because of the actions of its own government. these are just one of the many reasons why i shouldn't be grateful of merica.
set them aside, and just talk about oil....with predictions that oil may reach 100USD, corporate america must be worried, the government must have been worried. how do first world sustain their current positions in the international market if they can no longer control the very system they devised? that is simply because oil reserve are not on their hands, and unfortunately on the hands of those who's not with them....when iraq occupied kuwait? who came into the rescue? figure it out why......at the end, its all about oil.

Stooges? No way. The USA and England are destined to rule the world, only we will not do it with an iron fist. Iraq reminds me a lot of Mexico; high unemployment, filthy living conditions, open sewers, etc., except for one thing; the Iraqis want to stay in Iraq an rebuild their country, where as the Mexicans from Mexico want to be cowards and take the easy way out by going to the USA. If they had any balls, they would go back and start a revolution and overthrow their elitist leaders (who, by the way, do not want any thing to do with the darker skinned Mexicans).

First, I feel the word jap is antiquated. My wife is Japanese, and I live here. We don't use it anymore. Also, the Japanese relationship with empire is finished. There is no way it will happen again, despite a noisy right-wing, pro emperor movement here. But I will say I think Japan will continue to be America's lackey (sp?) for some time, and go along with its imperial adventures.

Personally i wish there was another way to resolve the whole sh*t fight! Just keep something in mind: When u r berating the troops for incompetencies remember that it is the political powers who have made the decisions that have led to the sh*t fight in Iraq. I dunno about ur political persuasions but personally I loathe the political leader my country chose, i did not vote for him (its compulsory to vote here). I don't agree with my country's involvment in Iraq. But cuz i am a citizen of a country involved in this sh*t does that mean i have power to change the outcome? Because my lil bit of elective power has done sweet f all for me so far.

Iraq is making a lot of money for both countries. as long as money can be made in Iraq non of the government is going to give up Iraq regardless of how whites die. by the way these countries don't count the Iraqi dead.

No we should all leave Iraq let them have a nice grand civil war and after it's all over and someone is leading the country then we should use our diplomacy and have a nice chat with them and tell them we want some oil and them to be nice to us.

Excellent questions! Too bad Americans are too ignorant to see things in such a perspective. They just feel better supporting a goofball for a president, while he sends people off to die for oil.
