Mark Foley was raped by a Catholic priest in his childhood, and that incident destroyed his life, and lost him his Job as a politician, if that is what the most religious Followers of Jesus do, i'd hate to see the actions of the less religious ones.

I've said all along. Catholism is a sham! How could we trust a bunch of unmarried guys to take care of our boys and girls? How can we listen to these so called celibate preaching about families when they themselves are not married? How could they advise us not to commit adultery when they themselves "claimed to be celibate" (whereas behind us they raped underaged boys and girls and for all you know they jad sex with nuns too!!)

1. MOST followers of Jesus do not do this. The media sensationalizes the few out of millions that show the bad face of Christianity. Sin happens, even among the saved. Nobody is without sin. Usually it's not this bad, but it does unfortunately happen.
2. Catholicism is not the same as most other Christian teaching. Most Christian churches do not deny physical relationships and marriage to their leaders. Catholics have added things to the Bible that are not there. Scripture says church leaders are actually supposed to have a wife.
3. Foley and this priest and everyone else who gets caught with their pants down need to stop making excuses for their wrong doing. They need to accept personal responsibility, repent and not do it anymore. It's as simple as that. If someone hurt you, it's all the more reason to not bring that hurt onto someone else who doesn't deserve it.

well if you can't figure out what G-D is saying about the catholic churches illegal law, of abstention. in violation of the law to be fruitfull and multiply. well then no amount of truth, shall convince your already biased opinion. celebacy is a gift only to be given by G-D, and not to be enforced by man upon men. and TheG-D of Avraham is a very very very jealous G-D, should you step on HIS Toes. in overstepping your authority, that is HIS to appoint only. the scriptures are quite clear about priest and bishops having wives and how many they may have. but don't assume you can have any, or more than one, automaticly. it is almost a manditory requirement for a Rabee or Priest to be married, but there is no mandate stating this must be so. since this decision is between G-D and the person only. shalomcha vshalomech.

What's a priest doing being naked in a sauna with a child in the first place? What's with it with some of these priests?!!!
As for Foley, good riddens. I've never had a good feeling about him and now I know why.

he was just a perverted human in disguise forgive him and prosecute him ..... what a pity! personal responsibility will someday figure out how this can be corrected strike that I meant prevented! It's unforntunate that so many boys and girls who were sexual abuse as young kids by people in authority grow up to do the same things. People like Foly needs help in sorting out their lives. That's it OK to let go of the past shame and stigma. They need to know it's not OK to repeat those acts. I guess if there is really a place call hell- those priest and all the sexual abusers wil be going there

Figures. What else is new? Didn't Jesus say that the gates of Hell would not prevail against his church? The gates of Hell are evidently prevailing when Jesus' church is being run by child molesters. The Catholic church is obviously NOT Jesus' church.

Yeah dude, I don't get this.....it's pretty gross to me. Even followers of other religions haven't been doing what these priests are doing. At least, I havent heard of other religious priests doing anything like that.....
