1. is this just a rumour, or has it been videotaped or colaborated in any way? j/w
2. IF he did hit a woman, then yes, he needs to be disciplined. No man has the right to hit a woman for a thing such as that. Just cause he is a big bucks rap star and (probably) sings about beating women doesn't mean he should. I personally just find this man as a whole as a disguisting specimen of the human race, along with other rap stars who sing about beating thier biotches or pi mping them out or signing about sleeping with girls and all that trash the my fellow peers seem to be so obsessed with. It is disguisting the things that are being exposed to the newest generations, where they think the way men treat women is quite normal and to be expected. And it's men like Jay Z that press this issue forward, but they will pay thier dues, either in this life or the next.

Your time on Earth is too precious to be concerned about trivial things like this.
What is happening in Your own life? What are your goals? What's your favorite color, food, song...etc? What person can you help tomorrow?
Whenever you find yourself asking questions about a celebrity's life (where you can't possibly or reasonably know the whole story or the real answer) take it as a signal that it's time for you to start
focusing on yourself, and your life, right here, right now.
Consider volunteering somewhere - like a hospital or homeless shelter. One of these places can help keep you in touch with yourself, and with real life.
Peace!

I saw the video, and it didn't look like punching. It seemed more like aggressive hand shuffling. The video did not show what she did to provoke him. Since everyone else in the video didn't seem to be bothered by it, I would assume he was not acting too out of line. I think the whole situation was taken out of context.

If it's true, the I think think it's disgusting. Rap "star" or not - no-one, and I mean no-one, has the right to a) hit a woman and b) assault anyone.
Who do people think they are...??
