So you don't want to face reality? Is that what you're saying?

Some religions just maintain that "reality" is some sort of "magic picture show" and you're just watching it, kinda like the audience in a Rocky Horror showing.

Some religions have you dropping out of the "real world" in favor of some sort of monasticism.

Most, though, try to help you cope by giving you answer for life's deeper problems. Given the fact that you're posting this in a Western world forum, I'll assume that this is your culture as well. Therefore, one of the Western religions tends to work best, and those are the type that basically tell you to embrace reality.

As for the worrying thing -- life (cosmos, God, karma, etc) has a way of fixing that for you. After I got "the call" saying that my wife "needed to come into the doctors office immediately" (cancer) no thing else really seems like a huge problem.

Matthiew 6: 25 and Luke 12:22 "Do not be anxious for you life, what you should eat or what you should drink; nor for your body, what you should put on . Is not the life more than food, and the body than clothing? Look at the birds of heaven, They do not sow nor reap nor gather into barns, yet your heavenly Father nourishes them . Are you not of more value than they? Don't be anxious be encouraged. We are living in a very exciting time in history, Remember that certain things need to take place but God in control. You will never endure anything you can't handle. Good Luck and God Bless

From "On faith in mind":

Using mind to stir up more mind
what grosser error than this?

-----

Walk outside, find some grass, take off your shoes, and walk around. Let your feet do the thinking for you. What do your feet have to say about the world? Try to learn to listen to your feet while you do this. Its a practice. Its very much like meditation.

When you can really hear your feet... or rather FEEL them, without being caught up in your mind, I call this the Earth Truth. When the Buddha reached enlightenment, he dispelled his ego by calling it an illusion, and using the Earth as his witness. Our thoughts about things are not as real or present as the feeling of grass beneath our feet. That is why I call it the Earth Truth.

If you practice it enough, you will become adept at seeing the earth truth over thinking about things. Once you master grass, put your shoes back on and see if you can still attend to the world in the same way. What do your hands say? What does your nose and ears say?

I don't think it possible to get rid of #1, but whether or not you worry about it is a matter of conditioning.

The best thing you can do is to quit watching or reading the news. It's designed to cause you to worry about things you would otherwise not care about in the least.

After that, you have to reaffirm to yourself that life is worth living for TODAY. If you put everything off for the future, you will worry unceasingly. If you make prudent plans for the future but live for today, you can actually enjoy life without all the worries.

Hate to be the cynical one but its called "life" dear! Life means thinking and worrying about ur future- if u care about anything that is. The small things u may be able to learn to just accept as they occur..... The only way to avoid life is death. And even then death is still a part of life!
Short answer: Suck it up and get on with living ur life instead of thinking about it.

well, i used to be so much like u.. maybe worse.. i think about this world.. what people think, what i shoudl do, what i will do and a lot of why why and more whys.. it made me soo unhappy bec of too much worries and fears maybe...

later i decided.. i will let God handle it all.. like they said.. Let go and let God. So i am soo much relaxed now.. i dont want to get so paranoid about tomorrow.. what i will be .. what i will do.. etc etc etc.. so i shifted my mind to letting God take over my life. whatveer happens to me and this world, it's God's will and when He puts us there, He will find a way to get us out too.

i dont know how other ppl would view my thoughts,.. i can be wrong or right in my thinking.. but it works so good to me and i am happy i have finally gotten over worries and all.

i completely agree with u that this world is hard, but about me i want it to be better place and decrease the gape between the cultures, and that is why humans are created for to make the world better( i know some peple don't go that way), so i think have patience, start with ur self( imean to make urself better), take the matters easily and reasonably, and try not to complicate ur life.
good luck.

In the bible Jesus says , not to worry about tomorrow. God takes care of all the birds and they don't stor up for tomorrow. Aren't you much more important them them. Tomorrow will tale care of tomorrow. Put your faith , love , and hopes in God and all will be OK. God loves you very very much. What ever you have or have not done. All God ask is for you to believe in him , love him with all your heart , and ask to be forgiven. Things may not change tomorrow but they will change. God loves you when no one else does.God will not leave your side. I know I have been there and God found the way for me.

The bible says to us, "who by worrying can add one hour to their life? So, do not say about tomorrow, what shall we eat, or what shall we drink or what shall we wear? But, seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all things will be added to you".

Be anxious for nothing. If you keep your eyes on the world, you will be upset and worried. If you keep your eyes on Jesus Christ, you will be standing on the rock and have assurance.
