We need them here. Even Jesus walked with nonbelievers to teach them the Truth. Besides, As a Christian we should love all people. The athiests are just lost or misguided in their lives. This is a good forum for them to find answers to their questions.

It is NOT hypocritical. You are uninformed. This forum is labeled "Religion AND Spirituality". Atheists do not believe or worship an external DEITY, that is FAR DIFFERENT from believing in spirituality, practicing spirituality or believing in an afterlife.

You are speaking a lie. This is not a FAITH forum; it isn't called "Religion & Faith". It is a forum for opinions ON religion and spirituality.

Once again RELIGION IS THE ABSOLUTE OPPOSITE OF SPIRITUALITY. So, in this forum you have two polar sides: Organized religions of man, and INDIVIDUAL SPIRITUALITY that is NOT based upon a standard religion. Hence R AND S!!.

How it is that people can't seem to understand the difference between the two is beyond me; and how they assume that if you are an atheist you don't believe in the spirit is just sad.

You have your answer.

Because unlike religious people, atheists have an open mind. They also want to know how the world was created and all the other truths - God is just the easy answer which is acceptable to religious ones. Faith is just an insurance or bribe to get in to heaven. The truth is NOBODY KNOWS. Religious people believe without any proof. Atheists, have an open mind and will start believing IF AND WHEN there is proof. We just wander in here hoping one of you have actually cracked the mystery.

I'm not an Atheist, but I assume that everyone has an opinion and has had an experience with spirituality or religion. The experience may have been a negative one, but it has created enough passion in that person to feel that they have something to offer to others.

Spirituality comes in many forms....intelligence should not be assumed to be an unnecessary part of finding oneself. We all walk our own path....we all have our own reasons for being on this site. I respect and listen to Atheists because they may know something that I don't yet know. They may be right!

Many writers and theorists would argue to deny a particular faith is to have a faith. Secondly, what is faith? It's not exclusively a relgious term, for example I have faith in my children and in science.
It certainly is not hypocritical, since they have every right to voice their faith as do those of alternative faiths. Or in simple terms, "if you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen!"

This forum is titled "Society & Culture > Religion & Spirituality". Think about that for a minute with an open mind and hopefully the answer will come to you.

I'd gather the same reason religious people are in forums or chatrooms where atheists hang out. To debate the issues.

because they exercise their right of inclusion. This is an open forum, it works both ways. I have wondered that myself, just gave up and accepted it as a fact. I resisted it for a while, now I just expect them to do what they have done already, it is not going to change just because I don't like it. they feel the same way about us.

They pride in their disbelief. They enter the forum to go against the words of those who have faith.
