I just moved to this city, and I don't drink or smoke, what should I do, where should I go to meet ppl.

Introduce yourself to your neighbors, work colleagues, students if you are in school, join a church.

Take A ride our town on the bus or train..get to know the area.. take some good long walks in highly populated areas. Be4 going to lakes or parks..go to the Tourist area get a map of the City. ask person @ Tourist place about the Town.. Go To the Museum to find out more about town. If U can afford it..take a few rides in a taxi. If U have limited income then best go to t local employment agency &get your name on the job wanted listed & if U see a job U can do try to get it.. don't neglect it just because you're new in town! If U neglect looking for work U could find yourself on the welfare roll.. U don't want that do U? Get to know as many people as possible if U want to be popular. Try talking to a few on the street.. see what reaction U get. U find out whether it's a friendly town or just a town where people go about doing their own stuff not caring about anything else.. understand? The not caring towns can make one feel lonely even in a crowd.. but there's more privacy in that kind of town than one where everyone knows everyone else!

This may sound stupid, but the first thing I would do is get a map and check out the layout of the town. One time I was stationed on a military post and did not realize they had a landing field there until about the time my enlistment was up! There is nothing quite as satisfying as knowing where 'all the bodies are buried.'

Call the community center see what's happening in town. Sign up for classes, go to church, be politically involved. Knock on the neighhbors doors introduce yourself.
