Look dude,I am a muslim I will explain you my perspective whether you like it or dislike it is a matter of your choice treat it as food for thought. This question disturbed me a lot too but then I realized something and my heart came to peace. You cannot understand God (ALLAH) on a human model,He is different from us He is the creator and we are His creations.
Within everyone of us there is a recognition of Allah. To become an agnostic we go against that inner voice and call that makes us seek our creator. You have to convince yourself to be an agnostic it does not come naturally to someone. He created us He owns us we are His slaves and servants. If a slave disobeys His master or does not recognize Him than the slave is inviting the wrath of His master.Allah loves you its just that by not recognizing Him and His favours to you you do an injustice to your own soul. And like every crime has a punishmnent even in our society in the Universe of Allah the greatest crime is not to recognize Him or to associate partners with Him or not be grateful for His favors to you,for then you show ingratitude and the highest form of that ingratitude is not to recognize or have a false recognition of your benefactor. You cannot understand Allah on a human model He is unlike us.You have to believe in what He revealed to His messengers and to His final messenger Hazrat Muhammad(PBUH),in the Holy Quran.Study Islam thoroughly to Understand what the message of Islam is.In todays world it is being presented in a distorted manner only when you take full effort to study it thoroughly and compare it with other Ideaologies do you start to see the light.Let no one force you into a line of thinking rather you should open your minds eye and hearts eye to see the truth and seek the truth for yourself.Realize that when you are sincere you will see the light. You will only see the light if He wants you to see the light.Guidance is only in His hands we only but show the way.He admits to His mercy whom He wills. For He is the Lord of the Universe.

The thought of God being offended at all is ridiculous. There are some things about religious doctrine that are just plain ridiculous. How would a loving God allow any of his children to be condemned to eternal damnation? It wouldn't happen.
This is the way I see it. God waits for those to chose to be close to God. When people make that choice, they are welcomed with God's embrace. To the others, they are allowed to suffer, not because God gets a kick out of watching people suffer, but because God loves them too much to interfere. God realizes that each of us need to find our own way, and some ways are more winding and treacherous than others.

He won't be. If he has not been offended and done anything about all the people who spread hatred and kill in the name of religion, he possibly loves agnostics. Agnostics have an open mind and mind their own business instead of fighting in the name of religious superiority, respect people instead of religion. I know idiots who spend their time in places of worship and neglect their families.
May be God is like us throwing a ball in. May be we can hit our first target, we cant control all the rebounds.

well, if there is an all powerful supreme being i would assume that such a being is supremely intelligent and so could certainly grasp why i wouldn't accept the blatherings of a mere group of primitive self aggrandizing humans as a true representation of said supreme being's character.
i take a wait and see spiritual attitude as i don't want to make any insulting assumptions about "God".

asilos_magdalena,
No, you wouldn't. But if it was your dog, you'd own it, right?
If someone asked, "Is that your dog?" You would naturally say yes, right?
Well, what if your dog just shattered a priceless stainedglass window? Would you say, "Yep, that's my boy!"
God would say, "I've already paid the price. The dog can decide what it's going to do. If he decides to run away, the dogcatcher will get him and he will go to the pound. But if he stays with me, he will be forgiven and live with me."
So the dog has the choice on what to do.

Your agnosticism doesn't offend god. It offends SOME believers, who cannot stand seeing that some people can live without a god telling them what to do at every step. They cannot conceive that it's possible to decide things on your own.

God does not get offended. He is very patient. He is just waiting for us to be in need and ask for His help. He know our frame, He created us. He gave us free will, He wants and expects you to exercise it. He loves Agnostics.

Well, let's see. We're told it offends God by the church. If we're agnostic and don't go to church and fill their coffers, we're offending God. Anyone else who doesn't go to church either doesn't have this view. Seems kinda slanted.

Being an agnostic I'm kinda surprised with your concern. I think you really need to continue to search for the Truth. Just open your heart and let Him in

Because an agnostic breaks the first of the 10 commandments.
Not acknowledging God is a sin in itself.
Jesus said 'Love the Lord you God with all your heart, soul and mind and love your neighbor as yourself'
An agnostic is not obeying the command of Jesus to love God as above.
