I was taking Zyprexa...after 5 years...made me extremely fat.

I take 50 mg Seroquel am and 200mg Seroquel pm

OH MY GOD...I crash like I am totally wasted on alcohol. It is terrible for me. I start to slur and feel like I can't stand up straight or even drive.
I have manic depressive disorder but it is obvious this med helps as I have been really level for 6 months. I told my doctor and he reduced the am dose from 100mg to 50mg a week ago. I have seen a little bit of a difference. My god, it totally interferes with my morning work schedule because I feel so exhausted.

I should mention that I DON'T drink alcohol. That's been my experience, I weigh 129 pounds, don't think that makes any difference. However, I do have fine motor tremors from all the psych drugs over the years, nothing major, just annoying.

I was on Zyprexa for a little while. I gained lots of weight. And felt very sluggish. I didn't like the way they made me feel so I stopped taking them. Seroquel did the same thing to me.

I went manic 10 months ago after a long period of stability on Lamictal and amitriptyline (I'm bipolar). I was put on Zyprexa as an adjunct to Lamictal, and it has been the best combination I have been on. It wiped the mani out in a day, stopped the voices and let me sleep properly. I have gained weight, but I'm holding my own now with diet and exercise.

I'm on Geodon and Zoloft for nipolar disorder. Was feeling sluggish from it, but then my doctor lowered the Geodon by 20mg and I feel great. Everyone's different though.
