Personally I think that it is Hinduism. It is considered to be a mythical religion which is false and by Christian standards "the path to hell". But then there is great intelligence behind it so much that it justifies all religions and discriminates non even Islam or Christianity which consider Hinduism primitive. If you take a great look into it there is great intelligence like the Gita and the Vedas
which basically point out that the goal of mankind is to reach a higher understanding of human existence. We do not worship
cows as it is rumored we just consider it sacred because it gives mankind important resources and was the source to basic survival. We believe in one god and that is Vishnu and he can be called Jesus, Zeus, Allah, Buddha etc. The reason why it seems
so primitive today even when it has intelligence that goes to over
10,000 years. The reason why it is considered the lowest faith is because of
Muslim rumors which have spread and believed about cow worship or
Sects which are false and many types’ movies. Even while the world and other famous religions discriminate it and call it “cow worship” or “idol worship” we continue to praise all religions and wept at pope John Paul’s death. As here are prayers in the Roman tongue similarly we say prayers in our tongue both glorifies god. Well that’s why I think it is the Hindu religion that is most terribly misunderstood while those 3,000,000 Hindu gods are actually angels who serve god. Well to keep this a question which other religion might be the most misunderstood which do you think?

What will you acheive by causing controversy and hatred amongst your kind.
You will simply make me get the feeling that people like you should be wiped out. I

Hinduism is an early Aryan religion, and primitive isn't really the right word to describe it. It's relatively less Magian and relatively more Faustian, as compared with Judaism and Christianity. Islam is feisty, but even so it too is relatively Magian when compared with Hinduism. The only religion that I know of which is more Faustian than Hinduism is Cosmotheism, a religion based on physics, evolution history, natural science, and the philosophy of Friedrich Nietzsche.
Magian means belief in holy magic or divine intervention: miracles. Faustian means science, learning, exploration, finding out, making things work right through intelligent tinkering. Although European White people were unfortunately seduced by Magian religious thought, they never lost their habit of being Faustian in every other (i.e., non-religious) part of life. We are a Faustian people, and two millennia of Christianity have not bled that out of us.
I recommend the writer Savitri Devi to everybody. I edited the version of THE LIGHTNING AND THE SUN that was published by National Vanguard Books. Devi uses Hindu imagery frequently in her narrative.
Most Westerners don't have a clue about Hinduism, and so you're probably right that it is the most misunderstood religion.

I would vote for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, commonly known as the Mormons.
This religion is attacked from all angles and sources over doctrine that is least understood and not willing to be understood. Too many people get hung up on the polygamy agenda, regardless that it ended in 1890. Many others cannot see the direct correlation with the Old Testament that God does not change and He always has His prophets in each dispensation.
Many accuse the Church of worshipping a different Jesus Christ or some adamantly claim the Church does not believe in Jesus Christ at all. This is just a sampling of what Mormons must contend with in the face of adversity and Satanic influences.
Rather than read the Book of Mormon, antagonists claim it tries to replace the Bible or make changes. It does none of those things. Many die-hard fundamentalists keep their eyes and ears stopped up for fear of learning the truth and are ever quick to condemn that which they don't understand or are willing to learn about--all because it differs from their traditional beliefs.

im inidan christian but everyone thinks im hindu and i get made fun of for the cow stuff...i think alot of people dont understand the religon much and make fun of it. such as why they wear dot on there fohead. i think its sad how people just completly misundertsnad hinduism. but im a strong beliver in jesus christ :]
