you can get away with anything these days . as long as you don't wear something for a black tie event the basic black dress would work. pair it with a cute sweater or shawl. you could even wear a cute pants suit. something with flowing pants and a fitting top or jacket. good luck

You can always get away with a black dress, unless it's a morning wedding. Just make sure your black dress isn't extremely formal.

Oh I think the little black dress is perfect for almost anything, especially with some nice jewelry to match?
But, considering the weather predictions for this weekend, maybe a nice pantsuit would be better?
Congratz on the family wedding!
Good Luck

I've seen people wear a little black dress to a daytime wedding. That said, I wouldn't do it. Just a nice Sunday outfit would be my choice!

i wouldnt wear black. thats usually for an evening party. if its late afternoon and the place is not so formal, you can get away with a simple dress and a nice pair of heels. wear a color you like.

The most important thing is to not out-dress the bride. Don't wear white, and make sure your dress is not fancier than hers. I suggest a simple dress in a color that flatters you. For my cousins wedding I wore a brown strapless dress with a cardigan over it.

Something that will keep you warm if you have to be outside its cold here and supposed to rain, at least in my town. Go with a red or a blue, I don't see why you couldn't wear black but thats up to you.
