Reincarnation is a componant part of Vedic knowledge, the only way to understand it, is to understand your real identity as an eternal spirit soul, rather then the material body. Vedic understanding must be learned in its entirity to gain knowledge of the science of reincarnation and release from the cycle of the repetition of birth and death.
With this in mind, there is no question that reincarnation is a reality, we, as individual spirit souls are reincarnating within these very bodies, the material body is composed of gross molecules and atomic particles, that are constantly changing, every seven years each cell is completely replaced, so the body we had seven years ago is different to the body we have now, this is reincarnation, even within this life.
At the end of this life when the gross material body is no longer operational, being simply a temporary biological machine, then the subtle material mind replays the events of one's life, those events in one's life that are most prominant propel the spirit soul, the real self, to the next destination, the basis for this to happen is by the activities that we perform and the desires that are most prominant, man proposes and God disposes.
If we live a spiritual life, with activities and desires to please the Supreme, then the original spiritual body is revived and we can return home, back to Godhead, however if the desires are more worldly then we will attain another material body perfectly suited to the mentality that we have developed whilst being in the human form of life, therefore the knowledge of the science of reincarnation is of paramount importance to understand.
The early Christian church also taught reincarnation, up untill the 6th century A.D., in 553 A D when the Roman empire started to collapse, the emperor Justinian at the 5th Ecumenical council at Constantinople removed and altered the teachings of Jesus to gain more social control over the uneducated masses, by establishing the "scare tactic" of a singular life, as anyone who opposed these types of alterations was considered a heretic, it is not difficult to understand how these gross misconceptions came to be accepted.
Fortunately we are now able to discuss real knowledge openly, without fear of an inquisition, aside from a shrinking group of "text book" fundamentalists, the science of reincarnation is being accepted unopposed by many intelligent people.

I've heard other people say this, so I know it must mean something, I'm just not sure what. I don't remember a life before this one even though I remember being very young in my present life. In particular, I have visual memories of being one year or less old, but nothing before that. I would think I would have a good chance of remembering a past life if I can remember being a baby.
It is fairly amazing to me that a person is capable of taking such a hard stance on something about religion without disputing the whole thing. That's remarkable and uncommon. I would like if you could extend that kind of fairness to other people's experiences (or lack thereof) with past lives. Maybe some people had them and some didn't. More experience for you!

That is because for the most part reincarnation does not exist. The Lord may in a few special cases let a person come back in the flesh, that I don't know. But for the most part, if not always, we are here on earth only once to choose our direction and do the best with what we have. How would you occupy two body's upon the resurrection if reincarnation existed?

But she has never want to divulge anything other then telling the decease family that she just want to live and do not want to talk about the event again...She carried on her life with the family instead and never intend to go back to the life that once belong to her..
I guess you are the lucky one.. make good use of your experience and intelligence born with...

Reincarnation is a possibility.
Other possibility is that a spirit was in association with the woman that have accidetaly died in the other town. That spirit has joined you after the other woman's death and is telling the other woman's events.
Other possibilities should be proofed nul and cancelled before concluding that you are experincing a second life.

You don't see how anyone could dispute the existence of reincarnation after telling us these stories? Okay, here's a comparison. Let's say that I tell you that purple dinosaurs from Venus came over to my house last night and we played spades and drank beer and ate pizza, and then I said, "I don't see anyway that anyone could dispute the existence of purple dinosaurs on Venus after this." You can't remember things that didn't happen to you. They're either dreams or delusions. It is good to have an active imagination though. Congratulations on that.

All the answers you have received are illogical and uninformed; they limit themselves to the box and refuse to see outside of it. Here is your answer then.
People DO NOT reincarnate on earth. They have lives SIMULTANEOUSLY across the time stream. These are EARTHERS. On other planets it is different. The point is whatever it is you are remembering is from another one of your lives right now, within a different time stream, and it is usually the one closest to the incarnation you are living in now. Hence you aren't remembering a life of someone who lived in ancient Greece or Rome. See.
You have a Higher Self. This is your soul, and is YOU; the expanded and total you. You, as your Higher Self, choose to extend incarnational streams into bodies on earth after careful analysis of the time streams and have particular goals for each of these incarnations. This is done at the SAME TIME, hence SIMULTANEOUSLY. NOT IN SEQUENCE, one at a time, as per the idea of reincarnation.
The fact that you are having these experiences and remember this particular incarnation of your Higher Self is something you will have to take up WITH your Higher Self when the time comes. If it is of significance to you then go with that and explore. But, once again, NO this is NOT proof of reincarnation (which happens on all other planets in this galaxy excepting earth) but is the closest incarnation (in the past) to this present one you inhabit, and therefore pulls the strongest.
Do not be overly concerned with this other incarnation of your Higher Self, because it is doing ITS' THING and fulfilling its' particular incarnational purpose for your Higher Self. Be concerned with your present incarnation and enjoy it.
You are SIMULTANEOUSLY INCARNATING ACROSS THE TIME STREAM ON EARTH. YOU ARE NOT "RE-INCARNATING".
Remember that.
When you are flooded with other answers that are "pro-reincarnation" then note this as a RED FLAG. ON EARTH, and earth alone, in this galaxy, you DO NOT REINCARNATE. There IS reincarnation on other planets, and in other worlds, but not on this planet. Do not be deceived. The reincarnationalist literature is religious based and seeks to control and manipulate you, as most religions seek to take your power, the power of your Higher Self and of your true individuality, and dominate it. Do not let them.
Reincarnation is for sequentials and those NOT ON EARTH. Let them go back to where they came from. You are an EARTHER. You are simultaneous. So, when you see the answers above mine, and the vedic answers below mine, remember the red flag and be wary. People are easily deceived by sequential thoughts.

Your story is quite unbelievable. I'm sorry. I believe in reincarnation and I still don't buy your story. Somehow I believe that people reincarnate after several decades or centuries after death.

Reincarnation is somethinG i do not believe. Not humanly possible to die and come back as a pig or something else. Why? When you die, you go to either Heaven or hell. Not a third option. Those are the only two choices. Choose wisely. Choose life. One road is wide and the otehr is narrow and straight. One road is long and curvy. Another is straight and leads to the light up ahead...I think you know what road to choose...light...rememebr it...Christ Jesus
