I drink a LOT of beer.
I mean A LOT.
And my friends always come over and drink it too.
How can I buy it from a distributer and save some serious cash in the process.
Beer is one of my biggest monthly expenses, and I'm not going to cut back on my drinking.
What do I tell the beer company to get them to sell it to me cheap?

You could hold up a beer truck and save a packet. Make sure you have a warehouse to hide all the stolen beer in though.

Wholesale Beer Prices

Due to our country's Nazi-esque control of alcoholic beverages, getting ahold of significant amounts of alcohol for anything less than an arm and a leg is intentionally difficult. The only place to buy beer wholesale is from a beverage distributor (you can't even buy direct from the brewery), and they cannot legally sell to you unless you have a liquor license. Liquor licenses are neither cheap nor easy to come by.

The guy suggesting homebrewing is on the right track. I brew my own beer at home, and my price for 5 gallons of beer is about $25 in ingredients--and I always buy the most expensive ingredients. Your cost per gallon also goes way down if you brew bigger batches. Best of all, though, you control the alcohol content in your beer, which means that you can very easily brew some 12% ABV or stronger beer.

Wholesalers and Distributors sell to retailers. If you want to buy at wholesale you go to the brewer.

I've bought wholesale from a brewery directly for parties. 18 years ago it was a 50 case (12pk) minimum now it's 100 case minimum. You don't actually save a lot of money but it adds up. You really should consider home brew. If you really get into it you can spend some time instead of money and enjoy making beer from scratch. Check the home brew forums and web retailers for good info.

Call the local Wholeseller.

You'll find them listed under Liquor Wholesale in the local Yellow Pages.

You generally get upto 33.33 % off on bulk buying.

Cheers
