If you have any question about stool, just take in a sample. A good vets office will check it for you for the cost of the fecal exam without having to take the puppy in. If, heaven forbid, it is Parvo, you don't want your puppy in the waiting room anyway. While Parvo is smelly, it is an extremely distinctive odor - between the smell and running a check, your vet can tell you if she has it or if it's simply parasites of some type. Remember too that puppies often sneak and eat things that we don't know about, so don't panic, but be safe!

I have two puppies who had parvo and they successfully recovered with treatment. The signs of parvo are that they are depressed, loss of appetite, vomiting, and diarrhea. If his stool is very watery, yellowish in color, and has a foul smell to it then you should take your puppy to the vet immediately. Make sure your puppy gets all of his shots, especially the one for the parvo virus.

best age for puppy shots is 8-10 weeks... most vets dont give a sick pup any shots... try adding some cooked rice to her puppy food.i love nutro's lamb and rice puppyfood. causes great stool and not a lot of it ! a very good food. first thing to do is take puppy's tempreture, should be under 102.f. rectal. if she has a temp. over 102 ... to the vet asap. she will need iv fluids. i'll send you good thoughts!...

If you are feeding her soft food it will sometimes mess her stomach up. Try feeding her some hard food with a little water in it. If she still has a messed up stomach then I would take her to the vet right away. Make sure to ask when you go for shots though.

Does your puppy have any other symptoms? My own puppy had loose stool with blood in it but was otherwise fine(eating, drinking, playing, etc). I took a stool sample and the puppy to the vet, and they said he had colitis...which was caused by him eating some garbage, in turn irritated his intestines causing the loose mucousy stool. If you have concerns, you should take the puppy in.

Call the vet now.... no one here has a DVM degree, sweetie, and even if one did, they can't examine your dog.
