bad on my nerves; any comments? ( I found out one of those boss's , now deceased, unfortunatley, was an alcoholic; i don't think the other was (this one owned Published a weekly Newspaper).

Swearing at an employee could fall into the category of hostile work environment. Should it happen again, I would advise the "boss" you do not appreciate that type of language and walk away.
I have never had that type of problem but I know I would not accept it.

I have a boss at home. My man. He is enough to give you a headache.
