The guy is impatient, which is dumb. He should have waited at least one day. Dumb because he should let her miss him just a little.

Why are people so quick to judge when everyone is different? Anyhow My answer to this is that if I told someone that I need a week etc, then I would definitely be checking to see if he is IMing in my absence because if he is then it means he is crazy about me and really wants to know. This is a way of testing a man to see how interested he really is and is completely normal! Love is an unexpected path sometimes. Just wait and she will eventually tell you how she feels but you have already put your heart on the line, so now you'll just have to wait for the unknown. Good luck.
And by the way, don't take advice from other men. I am a girl and I know about these things. This is the unwritten law of dating and part of the woo-ing process. It's still a risk but believe me, she is checking you.

He made a mistake by waited only 15 minutes. Her request was simple, wait so she can think. Can't he follow simple directions and respect her feelings? Obviously he can not.

iHe should've waited but when you feel soemthing you're mostly sure about it right away the fact that it takes her a freaking week to make a decision shows that she's not worth his time if she can't make up her mind. but he should just wait and see what she had to say if he really likes her if not forget about her.

IM relationships are non-commital - how can you call them a relationship and say that you're building trust based on some words typed into a computer screen? Ridiculous I say - you never know who it is you're really talking to.
