Would you have only one God or many? What would be the major aspects of your beliefs? And what would your afterlife be like? Would there be a heaven and a hell?

Only two precepts to live by:
Your rights end where another person's begin.
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

If everyone would live by these, the world would be a much better place.

I think I'd have to create a religion that is similar to Buddhism since Buddhism tends to point to no specific god(s) at all; but instead, leans heavily toward the more practical - it teaches its philosophy for successful living.

My requirements or changes upon Buddhism would probably include examples of modern day situations and perhaps it would keep a growing record of them - it would be sort of a "live and learn" library system. There would be no heaven or hell, no after-life, no god figures; in other words, it would be a systematized written Atheism - the only "ism" that ascribes to assist people by pointing out what's actually true about life. (In fact, it's high time there was a 'Guide to Successful Atheistic Living'... I wish someone brainier than me would write one.)

I'm afraid that the next new big religion is probably going to be the Church of Elvis... there have already been a lot of reported sightings and there is a ready-made holey place already on the map - Graceland, Tenn. USA. ---- Go figure..! Wouldn't this idea appeal to a bunch of low-brow Elvis worshipers if they were bright enough to think of it? It's a scary possibility, isn't it?

The only thing I know for certain is there would be more tolerance of others...but I feel there are plenty of religions out there. I'm convinced they are all more alike than different & are used as a way to explain what we cannot comprehend.

I already have mine, it is this: We are 9 different animals before we become a human, then after our human life we either go to heaven or hell.

I certainly wouldn't want people to pay for the privilege of going to religious education classes.

i think no one could ever creat that , coz god created us and he knows what is the best for us(i mean humans),so he gave us religions through prophets to guide us for the best way of living in life and to satisfaction of god and paradise in the after life, and believe me there is no happiness except in what god ordede us to do.
