Yes indeed, God gave us 10 Commandments that we should obey, although the 4th is not reinstated as are the others in the NT epistles which is one of the reasons most Christians do not keep the Sabbath.
As for rotting in hell, there is absolutely no need for that since hell was made for the devil and his angels and not for man. Simply accept the love of God through his Son Jesus the Messiah and you go straight to Heaven.
Does God still love us, well I see no indication otherwise.
I Cr 13;8a, Love never fails!!!!!

God made these ten rules but I believe that you have to obey with your inside and soul. Not to give the impression to others that you are a religious person. Keep on living your life but back in your mind remember God's rules and try to obey them when necessary. Therefore, there is not hell and heaven. Hell is called the lack of communication between you and God and heaven is called the communication you have with God. This can be succedded by feeling religious. So, hell and heaven are on earth!

Probably God gave those rules more for the peaceable existence of mankind than any other reason. Remember in the Garden of Eden there were no rules. After that little episode man went out into the world and did his own thing. Only trouble, man was not really very good at doing his own thing. It is just like having traffic lights, you avoid a lot of wrecks and injury.

Yes, you see He loves you so much that He gave you a way to NOT rot in hell fire for all eternity. If you sin without remorse or regret, Satan wins but if you follow God's commands (how hard is it not to kill someone?) you can be saved from a horrible fate. What grace and mercy He gives to such an undeserving race!

What are you talking about, the Ten Commandments of the Old Testament? Those were retired 2000 years ago. We do not live under the law anymore, we live under grace. But I have to wonder if you are really interested in salvation. Are you? If so read the first two chapters of Acts in the New Testament. When you experience that you will not doubt how God feels about you. But it's up to you to make the effort. You chose your own path, that's the freedom God gives us. You get to decide.

It is not God's intention that any man perishes. but comes into the fullness of His Truth. I think people get to fixed on hell that they are missing the whole point. Hell was designed for Satan and his falling angels. John 3:15-18 God makes it very clear and very easy to escape this destination. " God so loved the world He gave His only begotten Son that everyone who believes into Him would not perish , but would have eternal life. For God did not send the Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.

The Ten Commandments are to guide your life not to be a point that if you break them and then die you burn up forever. If you are saved, all you do is repent and get back on track with God. I know that if you breakone, you broke all of them. That was meant to be a guide for living. It is complicated because of not finding an example. SUppose a kid is touching teh hot fire and you tell him it is hot beforehand and he does it anyway. NOw, suppose you have a different scenario and you tell him to not touch teh fire or it will burn him. Which is better? Obviously the second one because you explained it to him...Hope this helps...

God's 10 commandments are merely mirrors and check&balances of our own sinful nature. Obeying them cannot save men from going to hell. Mankind are destined to go there because of our innate sinfulness which roots back to the disobedience of Adam and Eve. But because of God's unconditional love to us, He provided a way for us to escape hell's judgment. We get saved not by what we can do but what He has done for us w/c is out of love, mercy and grace. His way is being offered to the world as a FREE gift...and that gift is none other than the Blood of His Only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ! Salvation from our sins punishment in hell is as simple as accepting Christ in our lives as our personal Savior! Hard to believe?? Well, believe it or not, it's the only way out!!!

The first few commandments are about how we must placate this being's narcissisim.

The 10th commandment, properly translated, includes the maxim that we shall not covet out neighbor's slave or concubine.

Do these sound like the rules of any being you want to spend eternity with anyway?

Go to John 3:16. It's probably quoted more than Genesis 1:1.
