Every day we get asked "why are you here in R&S", as if this is an exclusive club of some sort, and we are the trailer trash. So if we finally acquiese and leave, wouldn't it be pretty boring for you? Just talking Jesus at each other...preaching to the converted?

Isn't this board more interesting with all the different points of view?

Hey, I didn't say we ARE going to leave...lol.
Just asking hypothetical question...wouldn't you guys just get really really bored?
Nobody to get mad at, not being able to be able to tell us you hope we are still so smug when we are burning in hell looking up at you?....c'mon, you guys get off on that.

Yes, they would. I have participated in such sites in the past, and there is a ceaseless stream of faithies who stop by thinking they can just say a few magic words and everyone will convert.

It's clear that the faithies don't want anyone dissing their beliefs here based on the types of questions you noted, and on the guaranteed violations you will get everytime you say anything they don't like.

If I were yahoo, I would remove most of the violation categories except adult content (for legal reasons), and would require human intervention before forwarding a violation notice (maybe they already do that - don't know). I would also make it impossible for people to spoof other participants (easy enough) so that no such category would even be needed.

I used to be a mod for an satanist/atheist website, complete with chat rooms and forums. I cannot tell you how many times we were attacked by christians who were completely unfamiliar with satanism. So while some, or even most, of these particular christians would not follow you to new stomping grounds, others would definitely find you.

I find the varying points of view here interesting and informative, when they're not being intentionally insulting. And some of the things that go on here are downright funny. I certainly hope no one takes their toys and goes home. It would get very boring here, very quickly.

ETA: Hey, ^^ guy above me ^^ in this thread, I have to clue you in on something real quick. Shoving something down someone's throat is not nice. The last time someone of my religion had something shoved down their throat by a christian, it happened to be a live snake. His name was Raud the Strong and his lands were promptly seized by Olaf the Lawbreaker (christians call him "St. Olaf" or "Olaf the Good" for the noncatholic types), the king of Norway who was notorious for killing, maiming and exiling fellow Norwegians who would not convert. And that was Raud's only crime - refusing to convert to christianity while owning lands the church wanted. I think to this day even shoving something as seeminly innocent as an idea down someone's throat is going to upset them more than sway them, don't you? Try being nice instead. You catch more flies with honey than vinegar, after all.

I find it a very interesting place... I love reading what the christians have to say. It's a great character study. And I think it would be boring. But part of religion is repetition. Always hearing the same thing keeps one indoctrinated. If the message were to lag, they believe they'd all become heathens like us.

I don't need a constant reminder of what a scum I am and that I must have religion in order to be "saved." I don't need to be saved from the wonderfulness that is my life, warts and all. If we don't have bad times, how will we learn to appreciate the good times for what they are... a coincidence of good, not a gift from some almight ruler.

Hey "trailer trash"....I like ya just fine!

I'm not an atheist, nor am I a christian....but I like debating R&S.....I don't want to see any of us categorized. We are all equal in this world and we are certainly all equal on YAHOO! If there was an exclusive club....I wouldn't join it anyway.

Have fun! God laughs with us...(even if he/she doesn't exist)!!

Peace!

Debate is healthy and should be encouraged on all levels. For a particular group to request a particular point of view be suppressed completely undermines democracy.

each guy or woman that i know in my view that criticize the contradictions have study the bible from conceal to conceal, what differentiates them from people that argue the alternative such as you is they seem to have bigger functioning logical and reasoning skills to boot via fact the skill to % out information that breaks down into insanity. i can't say every physique is of better intelligence than others via fact intelligence can propose somewhat some issues to diverse people yet logical reasoning is something that would nicely be nicely talked approximately and agreed upon. As assertion which includes a million + a million = 2 might nicely be agreed by way of the final public to be logical and actual, yet then you definitely get yet another bunch of people who argue that a million is probably no longer one o the above point out expression isn't actual yet fail to persuade me that one apple that I carry in my hand isn't one apple. whilst it is composed of religion, each concept is subjective and could make experience to one individual and not make experience to the different via fact all people has their own alternatives, objectives and needs in life, case in point some people like the belief of going to a place which includes heaven after dying and dread the belief of thoroughly dying or going to hell, Myself case in point thoroughly dread the belief of eternal life after dying, no rely the place that's as a results of the fact eternity is an extremely long term or maybe something perceived as a competent place now will grow to be a living hell in case you spend too lots time there(you may grow to be bored out of your ideas finally), you may might desire to be replaced into somebody/something you're to no longer be waiting to maintain sane for an eternity and that i could extremely give up to exist than be replaced into something i'm no longer.

Here, we christian help eachother out, give encouragement, and help eachother understand God and His word. All most of you guys do is shoot us down. If you guys were willing to listen to us as we listen to you, it would be a different story. I dont think anyone who has no religious or spiritual beliefs belongs in the religion/spirituality section, unless they are seeking God. If you dont believe in anything, what are you going to talk about? How much you dont believe in it? Honestly. Most christians would say that it is great to have you here, so we can witness to you, but none of you listen. We have all tried to shove it down your throats at one time or another, and you always shoot us down. Point proven. You dont believe. Fine. You have no religion. Fine. Then dont come to the friggen religion section. Unless of course you are just trying to piss people off. If thats the case, get a friggen life.

If you went away I'd consider it a blessing. I'd have nothing but the best wishes for you as you created you own play area free from the opreseve "jesus heads". And no, I would not follow or beg for your return.

Youre mistaken. I as a Christian wouldnt be here unless there were unsaved men such as yourself. And if you are so offended by these different points of view, though I am not offended by atheists, perhaps you should leave, not the Christians.

Why are atheists in the Religious section anyway?? Are they looking for some type of guidance. Go to the Anthropology section and speak about your neanderthals and evolution theories.
