Christianity may have positive aspects, but that reasoning is dangerous. I mean, it's not about finding good and bad things about everything, so as to try to get a balance. You know, if you tried hard enough you could find something good even in Hitler. For example, he adored animals. What does that mean? How does that change the fact that he was the greatest murderer of the 20th century? So, no. Although I admit Christianity has good things, it's on the whole a very negative institution, and I refuse to look for any good things it may and actually does have.
Now, if we're talking about Christians, that's another story. Millions of Christians have contributed greatly to the good of humanity. But Christianity's positive contributions are largely outnumbered by its negative stuff. Its contributions have cost humanity a lot!

Is this question only for atheists? If that is so you are asking for a biased answer since everything about Christianity is bad to an Atheist.
Christapher Columbus was Christian and he found North America. Christianity made North America what it is. Christianity has helped many people who are starving and homeless. Christianity has done lots for Black People. Martin Luther King Jr. was Christian.

because faith (and a conception in gods) develop into first used to describe the international. people examine the bible because they imagine that's the word of god (those that trust a minimum of), that would not propose that's. basically because people imagine some thing exists would not propose it does. tens of millions of babies imagine Santa is authentic or tooth fairy, that would not propose they do. also your god isn't the in hardship-free words one being worshiped. that's not a conspiracy concept yet only a study of human nature. people typically elect to bounce to supernatural factors even as there is not any reason to imagine there is or perhaps as the authentic rationalization basically would not fulfill them. As for the moon? we've evidence that guy went to the moon, first and optimal being mirrors that were placed on the moon that we can shoot a laser at hit upon the gentle reflecting back. We actually have evidence that the moon is contained in the sky, you will discover it. the article that orbits the earth and motives the tides is defined as "the moon". What evidence do you've that a god exists? EDIT: your dismissal of someone depending in hardship-free words on their exhibit screen call says each and every thing we elect to confirm about you. It also helps what Skeptik has had to assert about human sensibility. "there's a stress interior guy, that motives us to stay as God might want to stay. " extremely? obviously this stress must be both extremely weak or nonexistent in a necessary portion of the inhabitants. "So back, why might want to we supply up our rights to at least some thing we gained't see. that's termed the residing contained in the Spirit, that's evidence he exists............." I gained't supply up my rights to at least some thing that would not exist. And no that's no longer evidence, no longer to point evidence, that your God exists. i'm fascinated in interpreting what you need to assert about different religions and different gods notwithstanding.

Everything that Christianity lays claim to existed long before Christ lived. These aspects of Charity, and social responsibility were incorporated long after he died.

Christianity? Nothing, as far as i know.
There are, of course, plenty of christians who have contributed much, but none have done so purely by virtue of the fact that they were christians.
