John 3:16 "for God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten son, that whomsoever should believe in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life". Important? Because everything else pales in comparison to this.

In my opinion the most important scriptures are the ones any person is reading at any given moment, that jump out and send a clear message. It's not the same scripture for everyone and it's not the same scripture every-time.

The ones that affects your life the most! I could say mine are a bunch I know by memory....but its only me...first knowing Gods personal name that is really something: "That people may know that you, whose name is Jehovah, You alone are the Most High over all the earth." (psalms 83:18) Or knowing what's the condition of dead people; " For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all, neither do they anymore have wages, because the remembrance of them has been forgotten. Also, their love and their hate and their jealousy have already perished, and they have no portion anymore to time indefinite in anything that has to be done under the sun. " (Eccle :5) And last but no least the beautiful promise for the future in these passage; "And they will certainly build houses and have occupancy; and they will certainly plant vineyards and eat [their] fruitage. They will not build and someone else have occupancy; they will not plant and someone else do the eating. For like the days of a tree will the days of my people be; and the work of their own hands my chosen ones will use to the full. They will not toil for nothing, nor will they bring to birth for disturbance; because they are the offspring made up of the blessed ones of Jehovah, and their descendants with them. And it will actually occur that before they call out I myself shall answer; while they are yet speaking, I myself shall hear. The wolf and the lamb themselves will feed as one, and the lion will eat straw just like the bull; and as for the serpent, his food will be dust. They will do no harm nor cause any ruin in all my holy mountain,” Jehovah has said.." (Isaiah 65:21-25) Have a great day!

They are all important because they have to work together to provide the full impact of the book's message. People who pick and choose scriptures for their own purpose without including the surrounding context miss the point of the scripture. A person could pick one verse to make a point for the power of God and another person could pick the very next verse to try and prove against it.
Personally, I would love if only the happy feel-good verses were important, like God strengthens the weak. But there are other verses that are just as important that I wish weren't there but they are so we have to obey them, like the one that says love your enemy.

"...man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. (Matthew 4:4)" All of God's word is important.
I'm not placing more importance in these, but I'll leave you with these scriptures.. Matt.1:21; Matt.3:13-17; Acts 2:36-38; Acts 4:12; Acts 19:1-6)

In my opinion - the Torah and the book of Proverbs.
The prophet Isaiah said...
Isa 55:8 "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways" declares the LORD.
To learn and know His ways, we have Torah.
To learn and know His thoughts, we have Proverbs.
If all I can have is part of scripture, it would be these two, thus most important. Mainly because while all the rest of scripture is dependent on Torah, Torah itself can stand alone. So, combined with Proverbs, they would be all one really needs. The rest is icing on the cake.

I like Psalms 83:18
it says what Gods name is (Jehovah)
that tells you that he wants us to know Him
and that we can get to know Him
He is not distant to those honestly searching for Him.
as a group, the books of mathew, mark, luke, John really have the most meaning to me
They tell of Jesus life, and what he did.
I mean, if the president of the united states came over to visit your town, many people would stop whatever they were doing to listen
Now, Here is Jesus, Son of God
he came to earth, to say something,
and it was recorded for us
