People often confuse Thrush wiht Thrash but the two are very different. My son had thrush when he was a month old, its little white things all over the tounge and top of the mouth.. Go to the peditrican and they should presribe some kind of medicine for it. You have to use a dropper and make sure you coat its tounge and roof of the mouth, in a couple of days it should be gone. Its just an infection they get from so much yeast.

As mentioned above, thrush is a form of candida, or yeast infection. It won't go away by itself. You need medication but it will clear up quickly. Don't wait though. It can cause your baby to quit eating and lose weight. The telltale sign is the coated tongue but also a diaper rash that looks like little pin pricks all over their bottom and it won't go away no matter how often you change them, bathe them etc.. remember, the thrush is in their system and so it shows on both ends. The cream used on the rash has nystatin in it. A breastfeeding mom will have it on her breast too. Mom and baby give it back and forth. Call your doctor and look up candida on the internet to educate yourself further. Basically this is a minor thing if you take care of it quickly.

Wow are you living my life or something. It is a infection that a baby gets in thier month. It leaves a yucky white film in the mouth and on the tongue. You have to take the baby to the doctor for medicine. He will also scrap the infected stuff off. It's really sad for the baby. Make sure you clean the bottles and nipples very well since this is a major cause of thrush.

Thrush is a form of a yeast infection in a child's mouth. It is very common in children that are nursed, but can happen to any of them, trust me, I bawled like a baby myself when my daughter had it...thought I was a bad mother........but found out wrong.
Your child can get antibiotics or you can go to Dollar General and in the vitamin area, they have a liquid...it's Violet something and turns their mouths purple, but it works....
Per WEBMD...
Thrush (oropharyngeal candidiasis, or OPC) is a yeast infection that develops in the mouth and throat and on the tongue.
Thrush is most common in newborns, infants, and older adults, but it can occur at any age. In healthy newborns and infants, thrush is usually not a serious problem and is easily treated and cured.
What causes thrush?
Thrush occurs when a yeast called candida grows out of control. Candida normally is present in small amounts in the mouth and on other mucous membranes. However, under certain circumstances, candida can grow rapidly, causing thrush.
Thrush can be a recurring problem for people who have chronic illnesses or who take medications that impair the body's ability to fight infection (weakened immune system). Since these people have difficulty fighting infections, the fungus that causes thrush can spread throughout the body, causing life-threatening blood or organ infections.

It is an oral yeast infection. It is not necessarily caused by dirty bottles. Yeast infections like to grow in dark moist places and a lot of babies get them. I sterilized everything with my kids and they still got it. Have u ever noticed that sometimes babies still have a little milk in their mouths for a while after they eat that can also be a factor. I know I took an asthma medicine that they tell you to rinse your mouth out after using or you can get thrush. So there are many ways to get it.
Your pediatrician will give you a prescription for it.

Thrush is another name for the act of mushroom stamping. If I were you, I would keep a careful eye on your child.

a yeast infection in the mouth, caused usually either by contact with another child, shared bottle, binki, or not cleaned enough bottle nipples. I am too going thru' it right now with my 3 month old, except i am clueless on how a nursed baby gets it. Good luck, its a painful thing for them little ones. (ps. it would be little white sores in their mouth, and by their gums, that you cant wipe off.)

Yeast infection in the mouth. Babies get it.
Any pharmacy sells the purple stuff that cures it.
It's call something Violet. Small bottle, stains your mouth purple.
Who told you your baby has it? If it wasn't a Doctor, you should see one.
