He may have gotten into a toxin or have a Nuero problem.. You need to have him seen by a Vet as soon as you can.

There are so many things it could be.. there is nobody out here who can without examining your pooch tell you what it is and nobody should try.

Good Luck

I had a pet that did this..alot! I took her to the vet, and after tons of testing, he told me that she was mentally challenged. This is not a joke, it's for real. He told me that all animals have some members that are smarter than others and some that are more challenged. He said in the wild, the challenged ones would not live long, but, because she was domesticated, that it shouldn't shorten her life span at all.
She like running into walls and all but knocked herself out several times. We finally had to line her favorite spots with baby crib bumper pads so she wouldn't cause herself more damage. She is now seven years old.
Good Luck.

this is not a joke but my dog did this after she licked up bird poop from the deck outside.....no kidding...it made her dizzy for almost 24 hours......i would have to agree that if this doesn't stop after a nice cool bath then take the pooch to the vet....and make sure it didn't get into any beer (alcoholic drinks) or any kinds of soaps or cleaning fluids cause if it did forget the bath and take her to the vet asap

Whatever it may be, bring him to a Vet. Regardless of age (tho older dogs tend to have this) this may be the initial stage of cataract. Sadly to say my poor doggie has the same problem and I am considering ops for him. I was told eye lotion may help if its in the early stage. Good luck to you

My cat did this. merely before strolling in circles, sooner or later she merely grew to become oddly and her legs rose upward. i presumed that she'd had a stroke. The vets, I took her to, 2 or 3 did no longer know what grew to become into incorrect. She then had greater episodes. sooner or later she stared strolling in circles in merely one direction. i could conceal her eye with my hand to direct her to the kitty clutter. Her indications progressively have been given worse, I picked her up, she had a violent seizure that by way of her from my hands. I took her to the vet and he or she grew to become into placed down. Stacey Mae grew to become into 11 years old. i'm explaining this to allow you recognize that her suffering went on too long. It grew to become into too complicated to section together with her, yet finally I had to do what grew to become into superb for her, and not what i wanted. Please take your canines to a vet which will take money. possibly there is something they might do for him. If no longer, you will might desire to make a puzzling selection. stable Bless.

nah, I bet he's just caught a scent. Sometimes when my dog is out in the yard, she'll go and sniff, scratch, roll in the dirt, etc, and won't respond unless we tell her to stop.

I wouldn't worry about it for now...
Have you tried a bath?

how old is your dog? does he stand with his head against a wall? does he seem confused? check his gums, are they pale? eyes sorta yellow? this sounds like it could be liver problems. take him to the vet, get his ammonia level checked.
