He is in Alabama and I am in Florida, we are friends from about a year ago and he popped in for the weekend and now we are hooked on each other, but the distance is hard to handle. I need ideas to keep it fresh and keep it interesting. He will be moving down here in the middle of next year.

First thing you want to do is try and make plans to see each other at least 2 weekends out of the month. You know one weekend in your state, the next weekend in his. Send him a card or something. Surprises always work. If both of you have computers you might think about investing in cameras so you can be online sending ims and seeing each other at the same time. Believe me its the next best thing to being there. Just some hints from a fella who knows. Hope it helps.

Talk to each other frequently, send each other little notes (either snail mail or email) and keep up on each other's lives. That's really the best way to let the other person know you still care even though you're far apart. I call my bf's cell during the day and leave him a message now and again, like "hey, it's me, just wanted to say hi and see how your day was. I looooooooove you *smooch*" It's not the end of the world, even though it is difficult at times.

it's always hard to date long distance. i would just keep talking and about everything and wait till he moves there to pick things up more.

just be yourself ---- there is enough in each others lives to be interesting ---- even the day to day mundane will be wonderful to someone who cares
its very intimate (no im not talking sex) its getting into each others minds and life --- caring and sharing --- in a lot of ways better than sex --- it lasts longer :)

well...you can move to somewhere closer to each other or use the phone.You could also try phone sex....(just an idea) It may not be the same but it might be worth it if you really like this guy

send him little notes everyday in the mail, or ecards to his email. i am in a ldr, and i got a pack of blank cards and i right a sweet note to my bf and send it to him sometimes everyday, or just once a week. he loves it!
