I guess it depends on how deep it is. If it's a scratch that just scrapes the top layer of skin, it shouldn't hurt anything. If you've got one that goes really deep, though, it might. Depending on who did your tattoo, the ink is supposed to be buried pretty deep.
I had a humongous spider bite on a tattoo on my thigh and there's a little spot missing. It's not noticeable to anyone but me, though.

As far as just cuts and scratches the only thing I would worry about is a deep cut that formed scar tissue. That might distort the look of the tattoo somewhat.

Nope because the tattoo is inked on your scar tissue...so only if your cut is going to leave a scar will effect your tatt!

that depends on how deep the cut is. i have a small nick on my arm where i lost part of my tattoo, luckily i'm the only one who can tell!

Unless it's a deep cut (or you just got your tatto) you'll be fine. If your cut deep enough to cause a scar you may have a problem

It really depends on how deep.The tat is down a few layers deep.I have accidently shaved a chunck out of my tat and it was ok when it healed

My husband and I have never had that problem... unless you lose a huge chunk of flesh I think you would be ok
