Sorry I can't help you with that, I've never heard of a girlfriend PROPOSAL before. My husband PROPOSED marriage to me, but not very familiar with the dating proposals.

Use your spelling checker. As I understand your question, you are wanting to propose to a girl to be your girlfriend. Proposals are for deep commitments i.e. marriage. If you want someone to be a girl friend, date her and at some point ask/tell her that you want this to be a committed relationship where neither of you dates anyone else. A proposal may follow if you want to wed.

do it in a place where you'll be comfortable (think home court in terms of sports), not necessary to be in a mega-fancy place because so many things may go wrong but hopefully not. :) tell her you really love her. don't ask her to be your girlfriend at once. just let her know your feelings, if she reciprocates, then that's a good sign to ask her and formalize. bring flowers and treat her like the lady she is. and tell her that her shoes are pretty. good luck.

just ask her --- if there is something there --- she already knows
somewhere private --- she would not like to be put on the spot
