all they have done so far is 700 miles of fencing on the border! I think the border patrol should be allowed to shoot illegals that are entering the U.S.A ilegally. (maybe just in the knee caps)

NO, we have border pre 1929 no controls on ehiter side come and go as they please. The way to take on dopers sent the military over the border to chase them. The poor farmer from Mexico not to blame. Fence a build and a generation later it will come down. Accept that NAFTA will speed up the elimination of the border. May stall it 10 years with a fence, but they will eventfully dismantle the border since the costs outweigh the benefits of a secure border

I think that they need to first solve the illegal problem, set some rules for people who want to become citizens (like other countries).
In a lot of countries in Europe, you are not granted citizenship, until you know how to speak the native language fluently, and you know the country's history.

America, take notes.

A fence but is it funded?
We don't need a super border: We need a DMZ
N & S Korea have a guarded no man zone with simple fences and plenty of armed watchers. we can rotate reservists who r required to train xxx weeks per year to man the DMZ..
Drug runners and coyotes would have to dig very long tunnels...

This past week Bush has sent more troops and money to help at the border. I also heard lately that one must prove that they are a citizen of the US to get stamps now.

They're not doing enough and the number of illegals will prove that to anyone who wishes to disagree, There needs to be strict control, What if Iraq was on the border, not Mexico, Wouldn't we be having armed gunman with a shoot to kill order if they tried to cross? Yes we would.

Illegal immigrants are terroists on our economy & there needs to be stricter, harsher, tougher laws against these people.

I think they are borders. They are doing more now than ever before, you must realize how politically incorrect stopping illegal immigration is. This is a sensitive issue and must be handled with care. We are trying to protect our country and it's economy. We need to do this for the right reasons. Yes it is taking a long time. Peace.

They have been shooting illegals for years. They need to STOP hiring these people. It's SUPPOSED to be Illegal to hire them anyway.NO AMNESTY , NO GUEST WORKER PROGRAM. If they stop hiring Illegals , these people will have NO reason to come here at all if they can't find gainful employment. Simple checking of documents , NO need to build big walls which will undoubtly be funded by taxpayers. Make the BUSINESSES , those who are hiring illegals pay.

I think you should go back to school and learn about spelling before you start trying to solve our problems.
