Don't listen to these people! All you have to do to reverse a perm is get another perm! But this time, just put the solution on your hair and comb it straight instead of putting it in rollers. Your hairdresser will know how to do it. A perm is just a solution that holds the shape of the hair that it is in when the solution is put on, curly or straight.

My 1st advice when you do cut it, use long layers or one long layer. I have curly hair and have had to learn the hard way with short styles or short layers. Because your hair is wavy/curly it needs to be moisturized more. Use shampoos & conditioners for dry hair, get a deep conditioning treatment you can use on your hair once a week, and buy heat protecting products for your hair. I have straightened my hair for as long as I can remember. I actually hate my curly hair. It is very rare that I leave my hair curly. But when I do leave it curly, I use curling mouse, morracan oil (this stuff is absolutely awesome!). Every time I straighten my hair, I brush it out and then distribute Umberto blow dry lotion(smells great too!) to protect my hair from the blow dryer and flat iron. Right now it seems your hair is in need of some TLC and moisture. Get a moisurizing mask (garnier fructis has one) and put it on after you shampoo your hair. Twist it and clip your hair up while you finish your shower. I woud start doing that once a week to start nourishing your hair.

Let your hair grow out more. Then as you get your hair cut you will eventually be rid of the perm. And don't do it again..LOL.

straighting doesnt make your perm go away it just makes it straight. to get rid of a perm is like getting rid of hair color, you have to eigther cut it off or grow out your straight hair until none of it is curly any more basicaly you cant reverse a perm.

well, that happened to me and i tried putting iPod speakers on my hair, i played alternative music and screamo. now my hair looks completely retarded! isnt that great!!

Use some conditioner..........that's all you need......it will relax the curl.........
