Your kitten has conjunctivitis. It is very common in kittens and she/he needs to see a vet as soon as possible. It sounds like she/he has an upper respiratory infection and will require inoculation and antibiotics. If left untreated it is potentially fatal and/or she could go blind and maybe lose that eye(s).
DONT PANIC THOUGH! It is like us getting the flu, except it is more contagious and fatal in little kittens than it would be for you or me.
Separate her/him from the other cats you may have since it is so contagious. Keep her in a warm room and give her plenty of water and tasty highly “stinky” food since she may not want to eat if she cannot smell it.
Your vet will be able to tell you all about it, but if you want to know more in the meantime, look up Feline Upper Respiratory Infections in the search box and try these pages.

Hope this helps. Just take the kitty to the vet tomorrow, get him/her some antibiotics, and separate her from the other pets.
It should not be too expensive. Just about 15 dollars for the antibiotics plus maybe ointment or whatever your vet thinks she needs.

better to call the vet and make sure that's the correct medication for that age and symptoms. Even if it is the correct med, the strength may be too much for a kitten. Also old means it may cause more problems than help.
You can use a warm damp rag to wipe the gunk off it's eyes. But check w the vet about any meds!

It sounds like an upper respitory infection. Get it to the vet for a shot -price ranging from $15.00 - $30.00. But in the mean time get soft cloth dipped in warm water and clean the eye every 2 - 4 hours because it will ooze(the fluid) out till treated.

you kitty most likely has conjunctivitis (eye infection). It's probably best to check with your vet to be sure. If the meds you have are really old, it's likely that they won't work (if it is the appropriate medicine your vet would reccomend - I used a different med for my kitty with an eye infection). Just take her in to get seen to rule out any other problems.

Do NOT use anything old. Bad daddy, bad. Get some swabs at Cenex or a pet store. There are some swabs that are already filled with medicine exactly for pets' eyes-so it won't harm or sting their eyes. Also, kittens are still growing babies- they need vitamins. There's a tube of vitamins that they LOVE called Nutri-Cal. It's pasty, but they'll eat it right up. Also, you should stick to natural cat foods (also at Cenex or pet store). Like Nutri-Max brand. Other "popular" name brand pet foods have ash, rotten meat, ground bone, by-products, etc. in them. GROSS and unhealthy! Steer clear of Kitten Chow, etc. So bad. Hope your kitten gets better quick. If you can't find the swabs, only do this as a last resort: Q tip and hydrogen peroxide, but make sure you don't get any peroxide in the eyes.

Don't use anything that's very old. It's probably far past it's expiration date and will do more harm than good. Sounds like your kittie has an eye infection - I would suggest taking it to the vet.

The kitty needs a vet visit. Throw out the old meds..NEVER use meds from one pet on another! Could really do more harm than good.
Good Luck
