I turned my back ,and my baby was eating a crayon. Is my baby in danger?

Most crayons excluding high end art crayons(usually $25.00 or so dollars a package) are non toxic.. Brands like Rose Art, Crayola, and such are all non toxic.. Any crayon he/she ate will pass through the digestive tract in 24-48 hours... When it passes the feces may be colored like the crayon eaten for instance blue flecks or tinge to the feces if a blue crayon was eaten so on for other colors.... Don't freak out this is normal...
You baby will be fine... He/she will just have some psychodelic colored poo in a day or so.

I have a 3 year old son and I would hope it isn't dangerous in total my son has probably munched on about 4 packs of crayons in his lifetime. The only downside is they poo colors for a few days afterwards. I am sure yours will eat many more. If you read the crayola crayon box it says they are non toxic. So No it is completely safe. Just make sure you buy the Crayola brand and you're good to go!

I believe most crayons today, for obvious reasons, are NON-Toxic. No harm done. But if you're concerned, call your - I'm sure he/she will say the same thing. Now if your baby was choking on the crayon that would be dangerous.

It is bad for baby to eat crayon because it isn't edible. Babies tend to put whatever they can lay there hands on in their mouth. So, it is very important to keep an eye on them at all times. Since you were there when he did that, there is no doubt that you quickly put your hand in his mouth to bring out the pieces. Just make sure you put it deep enough (not too much so that you don't hurt your baby) to induce vomit and them rinse is mouth with plenty of water and give him milk to drink. Don't worry, your baby will be fine.

That's what my daughter did when she was 18 months to 2 yrs of age. She ate a whole pack off crayons, digested them them I found crayon specks in her poop in the potty and in her diaper.

Probably not. All crayons I've ever seen have been non-toxic and it states it on the box. And I've known many a kid to do so unharmed

no the babys fine, my son whos now going to be a dad eat many of crayons(LOL so did our little dog) and both were good

Well, if the box says that they are non-toxic then there's nothing harmful in the crayon but he/she may get a belly ache.

I think everyone eats crayons when they are little that is why Crayola makes their stuff non-toxic! Smart people!

It's going to be okay, my daughter and her dogs have eaten quite a few crayons.
