Flowers do not have chloroplasts, which are the green organelles (sub-cellular organs) where photosynthesis takes place. Chloroplasts are mostly in leaves, or needles, or stems.

It takes energy to produce a flower. But it's worth the investment, because the flower is the plant's reproductive organ. It pays off by producing more plants.

How much energy do most of us put into sex?

The fossil fuels we use to power our cars, heat our homes and fly on holiday come from trees and organims that died millions of years ago. Over time they have been transformed by immense heat and pressure to form coal, oil and gas. The carbon dioxide is then released into the atmosphere when these fuels are burned.
At Photosynthesise we believe that the most environmentally sensitive way to remove carbon dioxide from the environment is to use photosynthesis: The process by which trees use solar energy, carbon dioxide and water to form glucose and oxygen. The glucose produced is then used by the tree to grow and so carbon dioxide is permanently removed from the atmosphere.

the parts of plant which take part in photosynthesis must have a plant pigment called as chlorophyll. leaves of plant contain such pigment i.e. y dey r capable of preparing food. if petals bear such type of pigment dey must be able to synthesis their food.
