I took her in this morning she has a fever of 105 101 is normal and now they say she has f.i.p. and want to put her down or try experimental drugs, so I chose the prescriptions on the understanding she won't be in any pain or suffering.

Kittens are baby cats. Just like human babies they need a lot of sleep. Adult cats need a lot of sleep as well. Your kitten should go to the vet again for more shots soon, as the vet.

The vet has given her a clean bill of health, she's had her shots/worming done...
Look at her WITHOUT comparing her to brother and think about what you see- breathing is not labored(her, not compared to how bro looks/sounds), she eats and drinks fine? Litterbox use is appropriate? Does she seem to have problems moving around or is everything working right?
Some are little firebrands, some are tons more laid back. And who's to say she isn't bouncing around while you are asleep?
I have a bro and sis from the same litter. Myna has always been smaller by at least 1/3compared to Mox. He was the more hyper of the two. She's calmer about everything and tends to be a couch potato until the laser light or toy on a string comes out. I have one Siamese mix who has been a 'limp kitty' from day one-Never has been a wildchild like my others. Often wondered if he was ok,but vet always said Dink was just a calm fella. 6 yrs and Dink is still a friendly blob. Didn't start really filling out til he was about 3 yrs old.
Try looking at her without the others in the picture. Some are roly poly's, others keep a thin look about them forever.
If you are really worried about her weight being low for her size, try giving her a bit of extra food seperate from the rest as long as it is healthy stuff. The vet has food that is calorie dense you can buy if he thinks she needs it.

maybe your kitty is still smaller because she's the runt of the litter? If your vet says she's OK and all her tests checked out, don't worry too much. It is very very normal for cats to sleep alot, although kittens usually play more. I know that at least for humans, we do our growing when we're alseep, maybe this little girl is just trying to catch up? Be patient, give her some time. Play with her, try to get her perked up and just see how things go.

Stop comparing her to her brother. They are two different cats, and you cant expect her to be just like him.
If your vet has checked her breathing and is not worried, I would not worry at this point in time either.
She may just be going to grow up to be a smaller kitty than her brother.
I hope you have spayed and or neutered the kitties. It really is the kindest thing you can do for them.
I am sure they would thank you for rescuing them if they could.
I think you are a great human for doing so!
Good Luck.

First off I would ask if your kittens have been wormed. If they have then thats not the problem. It could be that she is just comfortable and doesn't feel like doing anything else except basking in her surroundings. She also might need a supplement in her diet. Ask your vet what he thinks.

Kittens sleep a lot, just like babies do. Let her sleep and make sure she keeps an appetite.

I'd go along with the vet in thinking that she was okay, as long as he/she found no health problems with her. Female cats are usually smaller, even as kittens. Is she timid? How does she react if you try playing with her?

Cats sleep away 2/3 of their lives...he's probably really active when you're not around. And cats have different personalities, just like dogs and people.

cat sleeps a lot but if you want it to be active then try this out. Put a small meat in some box and bring it near the cat such that it is able to identify that theres some food in it. and just watch her taking its out of that box
