There was a chow mein supper tonight at the church. They have had it for yrs. People come from all over to this yearly event.

20 some years ago there was this chinese rest. shut down by the health inspector. They found cat skeltons in the dumpsters.
So the big joke amoung young folk is that chinese use cats and let on it is chicken.

They church always has chicken chow mein....

I dont like cats, I am scared of them so I had no part of this.

But 4 friends of mine for the last week have been rounding up stray cats in town. Tonight all 4 of them each had a gunny sack and each one had 5 wild cats in them. The opend the chuch doors and quickly let the cats out of the bags, and all 20cats were running wild in the church basement. While people were eating.

They had this planned. Then they had 2 other friends down there eating and when the cats came a running in they yelled.

ewwwww just like the chinese, the chuch uses cat instead of chicken. It was way out of control.

Very funny. I wish I was there myself so I could laugh at the panic in the faces of the people.

Don't feel that a church social was a proper place for this at all. Was not only a mockery based on an assumption of a possible rumor without proof in the first place, plus disgracing a religious gathering. Those perpetrators owe the pastor and those that cooked the meal a personal apology and a promise that this type behavior will not happen again.
I'm not a bible thumper or anything like that but I do know where things have their proper places and this is not one of them.

None of this is funny - especially the part about having 5 wild cats in the confines of a gunny sack X 4. Your friends (and I bet you too) were cruel to the animals and the people - and totally disrepectful in a House of Worship.

I love cats and even I think this is funny. I hope, though, that they treated the cats humanely while they were "in custody."

True story. A small Chinese take-out restaurant moved into our town's small strip mall. One of the local policeman was half scared and drew his pistol when he heard activity behind the Winn-Dixie (located next to the Chinese restaurant). What he discovered were several Chinese rooting through the Winn-Dixie dumpsters. As one Chinese man found lettuce and other perishables that had been thrown out because they were out of date, the others were loading them onto carts and trundling them back to the Chinese restaurant.

The story spread like wildfire and everyone quit eating at the restaurant so it went out of business.

Sounds pretty disrespectful to me. Stray cats running throughout a church? Time to grow up!

Might have been funny at a bingo hall or something like that but not at a church social.

Not as funny as the US allowing horse meat for export to other countries for consumption but not allowing it for sale in this country.
